so i going along just chillin minding my own business when this gsx rolls up on me blows his bov on me...so we down shift to second going about 40, he gave 3 honks and after the third honk, i just walked away from him. so next were lining up at this light, we launch and hes got about a car and half on me, so im playing catch up, by the time i hit third we were door to door and just kept inching my way in front of him, and got him by half a car..it was great race, i wasnt expecting to win...they totally underrate our cars though. after the race we were heading on a backroad and he ends up hiting one of those metal plates they lay down in the street when there doing construction, and his car ended up dying on him..so being the nice guy that i am, i went back to help him out, he ended up having to get his car towed...lol i felt hella bad considering i beat him and now his car was getting towed. fun night all in all.

hmm ... have a friend here that would seriously kick my ass in his 98 gsx ... I mean that car is seriously violent ... maybe the car you raced had something wrong with it during the race? either way good win

their stock turbos spool at a decent pace so a bov doesn't really mean its a big turbo but I guess he may have saw the engine since he helped the dude out

don't know if they change from year to year but i think most have a 2.0L 210 hp Turbo Gas Engine, AWD, with a curb weight of 3120+.

Guys a 99 GSX 5 speed is at best running high 14s stock. The autos are a sad joke! I work for Mitsu and all the tech except me have modded Eclipse/Talons.

but see thats the point, this dude aparently has a big aftermarket turbo ... so it wont be pretty if the guy has tuned his car right even from a roll it may be ugly

How big of a turbo? A 16G needs and exhaust and your set. I've seen so many people throw a big ass 20G with a stock head manifold ect... and loose a lot of low and mid range power.

Sounds about right on the car dying haha damn 7 bolt motors! Good kill the AWD sucks from a roll but hey I guess if you kept with him in a dig race then good job. BTW those GSX's are heavy! About 3,400.

i was talking to him and hes running low 14s at the track, so from a roll i think i would take him for sure, especially if hes only trapping at like 95 or 96

im so proud of myself, when we race from a roll i have it on video so ill post it up here, ill be putting up some clips from the track soon too. hopefully a week from this sunday cause im going next saturday at sacramento raceway....if anyone is up in that area, hit me up.

my freind has a 97GST with bolt on's about 17-18psi, and we were dead even



now.....he has a Gen1 turbo...even until 3rd..the second he hits third bye bye...hes an instant like 1-2 car pull lol
