06 lsj vs c5 vette vs ls1 t/a

50 roll <~~ hated it. t/a won by 3 cars and left late, i pulled on the vette a half car, than he pulled on me to 1 full car length and it remained that way all the way up to 140ish. mods of cars listed below

C5 vette, i/h/e and zr1 wheels lol stock rear, auto

t/a, i/h/e, lid, maf, stock rear, auto, wheels (lighter than stockers)

me, 3.1 pulley, 42s, n2mb dual feature, air box mod, 3inch catless, axle back 2.50, ummm a nice to0n, oh and a working i/c pump!!! , gotta love the flames on the NLS from 3rd to 4th. anywho that vette used to walk away from me now he cant walk away so im happy with the results. next time though im going to ask for my roll... 40mph its only fair right?

i dont see u keeping up with a ls1 top end specially modded...
but i guess im just a v8 "nutswinger" or maybe some1 who nots retarded.

btw the c5 base is faster than a t/a mod for mod...

Not always. A base auto C5 could easily be outlaunched by an M6 fbody.

ill believe this if the vette was not tuned and the trans am was. the gearing in the auto vettes blow some major ass. i was able to not only 60', but also take the stripe against an auto c6 time and time again at the strip. being an auto(even if manually lowered a to the proper gear) it will still lag a slight bit when punched, giving him a slight jump. then the shitty gearing comes in. i believe the gearing in the trans ams is a little more agressive that a c5, but still nothing special.

but yes. videos would greatly help your situation. hahah

Nah I just point out most of the war stories posting is from people who no longer own a cobalt. Its just entertaining to me. I understand most posts on here are either BS, or someone raced a car with a bad driver, but I am not here to call people out. You run into this on any 4 Cyl forum though

The 6spd auto changed the game for auto Vettes. Before that the gears were way to long.

What I have come to make of it is that it is a thread with some boys that circle jerk each other on how fast 06SS's car is (or lack there of).
