it has 8.5 boost max stock. throw a boost controller on that and it would do work

but stock for stock. he traps 101 and i trap 103. these #'s may be wrong but they both came off the same website. (drag times.com) so why does everyone say i will lose? from a roll it seems i have the upperhand

 

lsj does not come close to trapping that fast stock man. you will loose by 2 cars at least. dont race for money

I remeber reading somewhere that a good tune on that motor unleashes a lot of power,more than an LNF I wish I could find it.

My buddy has one (granted it's no auto or soft top) and I'm pretty sure he ran around 13.6 or so stock. And I don't think you'll have any chance top end. I don't know how much of a difference the weight/tranny makes on them, I'm just going off of the same car with a manual tranny.

 

They are fast, no doubt about it. Some woman in my city owns one and she just goes around waxing everbody. Quicker than the 335i even.

 

You are basically stock. You'll lose from a stop and a roll. A stock SS/TC would have a shot from a roll only! Roll racing is ghey anyways!

rest of the car is bone stock on 91 pump gas

Yes I do not see how a almost stock SC will even get close to a sub 14second, 0-60 in 5 second bmw. You sir will lose your money like a gambler in vegas.

 

i ran a 335 (heavier) in my tuned TC and lets just say... your gonna get yanked soooo hard. I was only a little faster on the superchips tune before i went trifecta

 

Too bad it's his mom's. DP's + DP back exhaust, FMIC, Tune, Intake will put on 100-115whp. You can add another 30whp to that with a simple meth injection kit. (all on stock turbos) With 130-145whp added they are in the 11.5-11.8 1/4 mile range with a good launch and tires.

ASR Engineering just came out with an upgraded twin turbo kit that does 515whp/550wtq on 100octane + meth. About 10 kits in customers hands so far. (Should be in the upper 10's).

There are vids out of the ASR kit 135 running a modified porsche 997TT and GTR and hanging right with them:

Those vids are before some of the latest tuning fixes that should be good for a couple more mph.

went to the 1/8th last night. auto hard top trapped 78.
i trapped 76 and i missed 2nd.
so i'm assuming if they are as fast as people are claiming them to be then it picks up quick around 80?
his time did kill mine though. i think it was somewhere low nines or high 8's.
but we would be racing from a roll anyways.
