06 Stage 2 SS/SC vs Modded STI
Hey gents,
I am going to be racing my buddies 300 Wheel Horse STI on Sunday (of course I am going to video this race
)
Any thoughts or predictions. Remember, before you get wild with predictions that I will have the video to show the race. So if you come on here saying he is going to smoke me by 10 car lengths and he gets me by a couple I am going to come back on here and tease you! hahaha
We are going to race from 60mph (not a dead stop).

Ummm I dk buddy, he has been dyno/tuned at 300whp? If so I dk what the odds are gonna be but we will all have to see it is a heavier car sooooo I dk, I will have to see the video my predictions are that your gonna get beat but thats all I have to say lol

from a 60 roll that will put you right in the wheelhouse for 3rd gear...
STi's are awesome off the line, but nothing spectacular from the roll...
Stage 2...
He IS putting 300 to the wheels tho...
hmmm I think you will lose, but not nearly as badly as if you were running from a dig. My prediction is he wins by 2 lengths. Try a 40 roll and you may just have a shot at maybe pulling a bit before he reels you in with a good start.

Yeah if he's tuned, you will get smoked, however, if he's not, his powerband will not be that great and you might have a chance to stay dead even?? Who knows, just go and get it on video so we all can see!!!

Yeah I will grab it on video.
to the guy who said I am going to get spanked like a 12 year old...I am going to laugh when you get razzed on after I post the video. He has an 04 sti, his best time with full exhaust and crap was a 13.7 quartermile. We are also not racing from a stop.
Guess we will see. I am just going to be happy to post a video of the race so jackie's like trag will stop posting nonsense.
I raced him in my cobalt when it was stock and he had his exhaust and crap like I said and he went absolutely NOWHERE. So we will see.

dude, we are still on the first page bud, all you have to do is read
Stock for stock we were pretty much even, but he now has 300 wheel horse and I have a stage 2 kit?

No it's wheel horse, that is why we are racing. He is a trust fund baby...and decided to pay somebody an UNGODLY amount of money to modd his STI and he dyno'd right at 320 WHP.
We are racing because he swears up and down he is going to beat my cobalt by like 10 car lengths from a 60 to 100 race.
You guys would crap if I told you how much he paid to get his car to 320 horsepower...we will just say it was over 10K. What a dumb ass.

welll I T H I N K he's going to lose B A D L Y. 320 AWHP is no joke. At least 4 cars from 60-100.
Did he swap turbos???? If so to which turbo?
He has said several times he knows he is going to lose. He is just having us guess by how much, because he THINKS it won't be as much as the STi owner is thinking or some of you guys.
I am not claiming I am going to win...Just thought it would be cool to have everyone guess and then post the results to see who was closest. You get a lot of guys that are cluesless...saying "your going to get spanked"...Whatever "spanked" means...I think that is german for 15 cars? hahaha or guys saying at least four cars...
They could be right but lets break it down: STI is BOLD
around 2800 lbs vs 3300 lbs
about a horse to every 11.5 lbs vs a horse per 10 lbs
4.05 gearing vs have no idea but I'm sure it's not that low
It should be cool to race him since we are friends none the less, it's all in good fun

my buddy has one with a good amount of mods (above 300WHP)....
if you do a 40 roll your chances are better you will hang for a little bit
if you do a 60 roll, he is going to walk you he is in a sweet spot for his car(should be 3rd gear) maybe 4th depending on the way the tune is and where he gets boost etc. i know my freind leaves it in 4th from a 60 and im in 3rd and as soon as the turbo is spooled(3k) he is out!
good luck though man

Go from a 40, I had an acquatiance with a COBB stage 2 tune, turboback, I/C Sprayer, VF-39, and an intake. Thats when the Cobalt got loss number 1. 6 cars, easy. We went from a 40 and I took him for a bit, then at 60 he pulled.
