Stock Civic Si's can pull 1.9 60's (pretty good for a FWD car with "no torque"). They rev to 8000+ and the final drive is something like 5:1.

lol no torque makes launching them easier.. their redline is 8500 ss/scs with stg 2 is like 7000... and maybe higher depending what tune they're running

yes they have a better final drive but ...seriously

ss/na and si's are a drivers race... so much so that i've NEVER lost to one... weather it was slightly modded or not

ok so a few of them will run mid to low 14's but MOST of them wont.. and ok so stock tires? stock tire pressure stock air filter... how do you REALLY know it was totally stock?

and my area.. isn't that far from your area.. seriously take you BS out of here

not to mention how many of "them" have you seen do that... i've seen about 10-15 different cars not break 14's even with multiple runs

I know because 3 of my friends have Si's. Tell me, if one car, made virtually identical to another can run a 14.3, then why cant the other one??

SS/SC vs Si = Drivers race
SS/SC vs SS/NA is a drivers race? Maybe you should go into more detail, but a second in the 1/4 usually doesn't constitute a drivers race. Maybe .2-.3 and 1-2mph.

This thread has much fail.

There are lots of bolt on RSX/SIs that would break off a stage 2 cobalt all day.

Basically OP the only people you should listen to is those who have experience racing or building an SI or RSX, not people that think because they raced one that all of them are the same way or because they don't have torque that is retarted

x10

But they won't listen to you either, because you drive a GTO and have a superiority complex.

FYI, a bolt on/hondata k20 should go 13's all day. Get them full bolt ons with good drivers and thats a mid 13 car every time. Give them radials/slicks and they'll crack 12's.

i dont think people have denied that bolt ons with a tune they're pretty quick.. but with 1 or 2 bolts ons like the thread suggests it shouldnt be that serious... however with a tune in the mix it is

A lot of people suggested the only way the SI won was with nitrous and it was about to blow up.

Your hilarious guy...a stock si going 14.3 stock.....suuuuuuuuuuure.....well I'm going to go over to the srt4 forums and let them know that si's run 14.3's and that it would be a drivers race between them too...haha...such fail. Stock si's are high 14/low 15 sec cars...not low 14's!
