09 TC vs Roush 427
So by no means is this a kill post, but just posting on how impressed I am with the TC.
So I am driving home from Manitoba, about 20 km outside of Regina SK.
This older guy in his 50's pulls up behind me, so I switch lanes and let him pass, he gives me the thumbs up as he pass's and I return it.
so we get into the city, and I am at a light and guess who pulls up to me..
so he rolls down, we start talking, asks me if my car was a V6, I smile and chuckle a bit, tell him its an 2L 4 Banger Turbocharged, he smiles said he was impressed.
Light turns green, highway is clear ahead, were still talking and the car behind us honks, so he rips off and I follow behind him, now his car sounded like a BEAST! loved it!
In anycase I NLS into 2nd and than 3rd, and I shut it down at about 110 KM/H, what impressed me was I was only 3 cars ish behind him, like wow, this thing is a beast!!
soo to end it all, I drive past him to my exit and he throws me another thumbs up and rips off.

there, I said it. Hes stock. Hes not going to keep up or come close to keep up with a roush. If that was a 1/4 mile run, OR a race to 120 mph, he would have been boing jets behind.
Thats 3 car loss with a race to 69 mph. Could you IMAGINE how bad it would have been if they raced to 120mph? *ouch*

nice story..... but you can't really blame someone for saying that if he wanted to... the driver of that 427 could destory a SSTC..... because its the truth/facts.
A lil hot roddin around on the streets doesn't really prove much..... at a track... that 427 would kill our SS/TCs

a stock terminator runs mid to high 12's in the 1/4 mile, and has around 380 ish whp bone stock.
A roush has over 400 whp, and pulls a terminator very nicely. Modded, forget about it. Im sure that roush had a few mods. A fully bolted LNF wouldnt stand a chance, let alone a stock one.

to again state my point, I was in no way saying the roush is slow at all!
I am merely trying to state how impressed I was with the TC's performance!
perfect, good kills man!

They run high 12s low 13's stock ~108-109 but they basically come with an intake and exhaust and wont dyno near 400whp without a tiny tiny pulley/tune.

Not really, they're heavy and make somewhere around 350whp "stock".
They weigh ~400lbs more than a 03/04 Cobra, have 1 less valve per cylinder, their blower is 22 cubes smaller, and it's a 5spd. Idk why anyone would ever think that it was faster than a Termi lol

Pretty much any Roush or Saleen is not worth the money since you are buying the name more than any thing else. The 427Rs are ok cars but are a high 12sec car with a good driver. The Roush blower sucks and at the end of the day its still a 3V 4.6 with weak internals so it will never be albe to compete with the GT500 wich you can buy for about the same price.
There is one around here and I walked him in the GT500 one day.
