So I finally got my car tuned and got my first race into really guage how much faster I have gottin. Wat better way than a Corvette.

So my mod list reads CIA intake chargepiping downpipe catback and synapse 600hp intercooler and a tune by supermantxz24.

His has an 01 auto corvette with vara-ram intake kooks long tube headers a B&B catback and a tune. For a fact he is putting down 330whp and 360wtq.

So we ran to races the first was a 70 pull. I got the jump on him and literally pulled busses on him. The 50 roll was closer. We hit it at the same time and for the first two seconds it was close then I just walked away badly the last one was a minimum of 2 cars. Well I'm happy to say that I am very impressed with the runs. Wat do yal think.

 

Why do you have a 600hp intercooler with your stock turbo?

 

no way a tuned ss/tc could out run an ls1, just no way

Didn't know tuned/bolted TC's were trapping 120+. But since another member here is questioning me always "knocking" cobalts in V8 threads I guess I should garner some support. So um, good kill

Not really a stock 01 corvette with a ls1 is only 350 crank horsepower. And bein an automatic that's more drivetrain loss

Whoa now, so a barely modded 01 Corvette traps higher then a stock LS3 C6 Vette? LMFAO! Look at the numbers, that Vette's barely putting down more power then the Cobalt and weighs a good bit more.

you say you pulled buses starting at 70, and from 50 its was close till you just walked away from him, but no where does it say what speeds you raced to!

I don't quite buy it, but whatever. I don't have a corvette or an SS/TC so I wouldn't really know.

you make me laugh well my ls is my DD, so it doesnt matter what other people think of it, and for the part of ss/tc's never lose, and? in reality a mildly modded ss/tc wont blow away a vette, it WILL beat a stock vette on low end, but even that stock vette will pull on high end and catch up... the street doesnt prove anythin, the track is where its at..

 

hmmm ive been saying the track is where its at and getting flamed for it just because i have awd. glad to see someone else agrees. but just to confirm when you were saying amidly modded ss/tc will beat a stock vette on low end im assuming you meant the ls1 thats in the OP because a mildly modded ss/tc will be a good race i guess on low end with a stock ls2 corvette aka 2006 ( i think; whatever the newest gen is) and up top will beat it pretty easily.
