10 Camaro ss or 09 cobalt ss tc sedan
Hey guys , right now I own a 2010 stock Camaro ss , I'm really considering trading it to get a 2009 cobalt sedan I found . Anybody raced a stock Camaro ss ? What would the cobalt need to beat it ?

It really depends more on what your power goals are. If all u want is to be able to beat that stock camaro then I'd say the cobalt already has enough to give the camaro a run for its money. Obviously driver mod makes a huge difference when it's this close but if u want big power like 400+ and money isn't an issue then go with the camaro. Can't beat that v8 rumble. If u want a cheap car with easy power 400 or below, then go with the balt. Simple as that. The four door is also a plus if u want back friendly doors to put a car seat in.

Yes the cobalt can beat the ss Camaro with a good tune. Now I wouldn't consider a trifecta tune a good tune. If ur getting the Balt, also get hptuners, and a new ecu since that trifecta tuned one is locked and u can't retune unless u have the tune file that's on there. Ur gonna want attune from a good tuner on the site. Then ull beat the Camaro. If u really wanna hurt it, zfr turbo upgrade

Camaro has lots more potential but for the money and a good tune, the cobalt should win. I beat a cammed, headers, intake, and tuned 2012 this last summer. Driver mod may have been a factor. I ran a 13:30 to the camaro's 13:50.
Cobalts are great cars for what they are and don't cost much to maintain/build.

Thanks guys ! It's a hard decision but I think I'm going to just build on the Camaro . I have ran it 3 times and my best was a 13.2 . I'll just get the ss sedan later on as a daily thanks guys

A couple of months ago I got into it with a 5th gen Camaro ss from a 40ish roll, it had at least an exhaust. my mods were a 3" dp, zzp intake elbow (non modded stock airbox), and zzp canned tune. I put about a 1 1/2 car lengths on him. I would still pick the Camaro over the cobalt, my cobalt is a DD and we get snow regularly.

I honestly am not impressed with 5th gen Camaros at all. I'd get the Balt, be under rated, get better gas mileage and be just about as quick with basic mods.
