2.4 SS stretching its legs
Got a chance to exercise the 2.4 SS 5 speed yesterday coming back from the Monroeville PA meet. I was getting onto the turnpike and up the back bumper comes a Toyota Matrix (silver, slammed and I heard a buzzy exhaust). As I am merging, Mr Matrix ducks over 2 lanes and attempts a slingshot pass. I know he's got the jump on me but what the heck, I plant it in 3rd and he gets along side me and pulls a slight one car lead before I start realing him in like a 250lb fisherman on a 5 lb crappie. I pull even and begin walking by him, he's motor is screaming and he powershifts "crunch" trying to stay with me. 3/4ths of the way through my 4th gear he gives up.
A few seconds later he comes up again and gives a thumbs up. "Nice Supercharger"..(he says). "Its not a supercharged one...its a 4 door 2.4 SS..!" I yell back.
