I didnt think Honda ever equiped a Del Sol with a vtec motor...ever...I'm probably wrong but for some reason I thought I looked into this once...

 

95 DELSOL came with 160 horse dohc vtec yes they were in there.

 

oh yeah..there were quite a few years with the vtec wasnt there?....I think the stock 1/4 was 15.7 if you were a good driver...

should be quite a race....lol

 

i know of some fast honda with no F/I so dont think it will be an easy race. my buddy has a del sol with a motor swap and hes running 11.4 1000 ft times. all im saying is dont be surprised if he beats you.

 

idk man know you gotta what kinda work he has. my friend has a naturally aspirated b16 that runs mid 13's. Just because it doesnt have a turbo, supercharger, or nitrous doesn't mean it isnt fast. Skunk 2 has a integra? i think that runs 9.8's all motor.

 

RSX. All though it is a bad ass car that runs that fast with only 350whp, it aslo only weighs 1800lbs. Just check out the link I posted up above, those are better cars to compare in this discussion. Also to add that site hasn't been updated in close to 2 years I believe. I know of quite a few of those cars that have ran faster times and you have to think there are a lot more cars running those times now.

 

actually the delsol vtec will be a great race for the 2.4 ss the dohc delsol's with a decent driver ran a 15.2-15.4 stock....if he is modded he might beat you but stock for stock good race also race him from a dig so u have the advantage but if u race from a roll u will be at the disadvantage since the delsol is a good bit lighter also is urs a 5 speed 2.4...also the 94-97 delsols was the only ones that was offered with the dohc vtec ::93 it wasnt offered::....but u also had the sohc vtec ::1.6 d16z6:: and the sohc non vtec ::1.5 d15::.....

good attitude if u lose oh well if u win great......but in my opinion the delsol will have 1-3 car lengths on u by the time u hit around 80-90....the dohc delsols are quick cars
