2006 Cobalt SS/SC vs. 2000 Camaro Z28 A4

So I'm leaving the bar last night in my Z28 with a couple buddies in the car. And no I was not drunk. Just to make it clear. We were only at the bar for about an hour and I had 2 beers. Anyway, all of the sudden I look over to the left lane and see a Red Cobalt SS/SC with black wheels revving his engine at me. Then he floors it for a couple seconds and gets a head of me. I guess that was his ricer way of telling me he wanted to race lol? Now I already knew who this kid was. I see him around all the time. I also had another encounter with him last summer in my GTP. He called it a piece of trash right in front of me, only to get MURDERED soon after. I think he might have copied my GTP's blacked out wheels.

Anyhow, I slowly catch back up to him. When I get even with him I drop it down into 2nd manually to let him know that I'm game. My window is about half way down so I could hear him down shift to 2nd gear too. So, we're rolling along at 35-40 mph. No other cars in sight at all. I was waiting for him to start honking because I don't have a horn. But instead he just nails it without warning. About a second or so after I hear his blower whine, I nail it too. He got a pretty decent jump on me, and had about a half car lead until I hit about 60-70 mph and starting pulling him pretty hard. I stuck my left hand out the window and waved at him as I walked by. By 90-95 he was about 2 cars behind me. So I shut down. As for mods on the two cars, I had seen this kid at a little gathering in the autozone parking lot last summer, and overheard him say that he had a stage 2 pulley, a tune and some other little bolt ons. So he had at least those mods done. His car kept up with me a lot better than a few other stock cobalts that I've played with in the Z28 too. As for my Z28's mods, it's pretty much stock. All it has is an SLP lid and a dirty ''high flow'' air filter and SLP cat-back exhaust.

Oh, give me a break. 2 beers over the course of 1 hour would barely even show up on a breathalyzer with someone who weighs 220 lbs like I do. No where near the legal limit. And there's a reason why they call it a ''legal'' limit. If I had wrecked, I alcohol would have had NO effect on the consequences.

Maybe if you're a 4 foot 9 inch female that weighs 80 lbs.

I'm pretty sure size doesn't effect how much alcohol is in your system. Could be wrong though. You got lucky this time. Good luck next time.

You're joking right?? It's not all about how much alcohol you have consumed.

So say someone who is 130lbs and someone who is 220lbs blow into a breathalyzer after having 4 beers each. You mean to tell me that they'll blow two completely different numbers?

"so me and a couple buddies were in the z28 going to taco bell...."

situation avoided. btw weight doesn't effect your bac, two beers will blow the same for a 98lb blonde floozy or a 250lb guy. your weight and tolerance determine how you react to it.

ask me how i know

If they both drank the 4 beers at the same pace. Yes.

Again, this is a joke, right? A lower body weight makes for a higher concentration of alcohol in the body. This is because the BAC in your body is measured as the total amount of alcohol divided by your total amount of body water. Therefore, someone who weighs less will generally have a lower amount of body water, which will have less of a dilutive effect on the alcohol in your system.

Huh...I could pull on my buddies bone stock '96 lt1 a4 Vette in my sc hhr with a 3.1 pulley and I was 257whp at that point. 30ish rolls to 100 I'd get 1 car. Digs I'd come back but not till after 100.

I did several pulls vs a stock SC balt before that. They are pretty slow. Guessing stg 2 is not a whole lot different.

I'm comfortable with 2 and could not imagine I'd be over the limit unless I just finished running and hydrated with Pabst.

You don't know what you're talking about. I bet you can't even drink beers. Probably were on your way to drink root beers with your buddies.

Lol oh really? I once drank 6 beers in 2 hours and blew a .05 on a breathalyer. That's barely HALF the legal limit. Like I said. Someone as big as me can legally drink more alcohol then say someone who weighs 150 lbs. And 1 of those beers was already completely out of my system by the time i left the bar.
