350z, intake, headers, exhaust and spraying probably 75 or 100 shot(Nos for sure). Beat him by a fender.

Im pretty sure im getting the Snow kit, Most people with this kit seem to be putting down much more than the Tag racing one. (I guess its the shooting before the blower, it cools it down more)

we pulled out to the service plaza by the turnpike. He didnt want to tell me how much the shot was. However He showed me the bottle in the back, He had also had the kit surged, so he sprayed through the hood.(After the race) Yes he did spray in the race. He was also running 20" HREs. So that made him slower.

that and his bottle pressure was probably low.

a 350z with IHE and a 75-100 shot would be putting out 340+whp

yeah I should be on 270 to 280whp right now, that 350z weight much more and add HRES 20"ers. and You got a fair race dont you think. I think his bottle was just fine. Specially when he sprayed surged after the race was over.

the term is purging, not surging

and it hardly takes any bottle pressure to purge the system, but a bottle that is low on pressure hurts performance. the car starts to run pretty damn rich and might even bog down, had it happen on my car a couple of times when i was running nitrous through it.

extra weight, 20inch HRE's, yes, they hurt performance, but on the other hand, its still a 60-70whp advantage to the Z, again, if it were running at full capacity

but my guess is the guy likes to use the nitrous a lot, and likes to purge the system(taken from your description of what he did), which really is only necessary after you install a fresh bottle. i used a whole 10lb bottle once in a little over an hour, so i dont think its too far fetched that the guy was low on bottle pressure

2815lb SS with between 270hp vs 3339lb 350Z with 400hp. Im gonna have to call BS on this story. The fact you raced from a roll negates most of the weight issue, and the 350Z has a final drive gear ratio of 3.57 in a 6 speed. He would absolutly rape you on the highway.

Now if hes running a little 50 shot and onyl has exhaust , headers, and intake and hasnt cleaned up the restrictive ass heads on teh 350Z's and done cam work to compensate the change in ait flow then all he has is a 50hp over stock 350Z that weighs 400lb's more then you.

I don't doubt it at all. Nice run. 350Z's and G35 Coupes are completely OVERRATED. Don't worry about these guys, people still don't know what our cars can do with the right mods. I haven't lost to a 350Z yet. It's sad, that a ~$30K car has about the same straightline performance as our ~$21k cars.

i beleive the race and good kill, but it probably was like a 25 shot or 50 at best... a 100 shot on a 350z should put him into the 12's...

ohhhh i read his sig wrong. I thought the 2.6 was "on the way" with the other stuff and he was only running 240fwhp which would definately NOT be able to take a z on a 100 shot. More beleivable this way.

mods in sig. my bud has a 350z with intake and exaust. I rape him from 40-120. It's no contest. I would say if he had a 50 -75 shot it would be a good run. Nice Kill.
