which is an easy and a cheap fix. Ive seen a FEW tuned and bolted TC's hit low 13's on street tires, some on here have hit high 12's. It can be done. I forget though how this is a roll race forum

Hey "Shibito", how many Z06's have stomped your ass due to your license plate?

2.4L its fast as hell he went low 11s on drag radials spinning his ass off the whole time. Definately be a mid 10sec car with slicks and a solid rear axle swap

solid rear swap isn't needed, slicks work great with the IRS.

A 2.4L definitely puts him with Z06's. The rest is all in the tune to determine if he can beat them or not. Has he raced any?

Shibito, A friend of mine had an 3.4 whipple on his 03 and boy that car was a riot. It was a completely streetable car that made in the high 600whp on pump gas...I want to say 680ish whp and about the same torque. He never got a decent run out of the car due to clutch issues unfortunately. My mustang traps 131 and his car scared me lol...id say it was about a 135ish trap car.

He got a good deal on a built 5.4 with a turbo setup and a c4. Dropped that in the car and hated it. He ended up selling it not too long after the swap.

Nice. The 3.4 is definitely a big blower that can make a **** ton of power.

Nice, how does he fair against the C6's? I have a similiar problem with ZR1's, the ones that want to race are heavily modified and the ones near stock don't want to

He also has a heavily built and modded 86 gt fox that has a low comp built 347 with a paxton that made 640whp. So his ass gets to pick what to run that night lol. The 86 has a 410 gear though mainly a strip car. Althouh i tease him because both were bought not built by him and me being a tech i give him **** all the time

Yes VIR is only about a hour and a half drive from us. Its more of a road course than auto x, although they do both there. It handles quite well and in the straights well....

Well I meant road course lol. Auto-x (on average) is too small for most Cobalts on this site even.

I assumed thats what u meant. I feel its to stressfull on any car while auto xing i personally do circle track which is fun. The track i run at does one on one drags too pretty hairy side by side in the turns lol

Yea, full bolt on srt 4s are pretty quick. They can be pulled on by a fully bolted lnf but not a whole lot. Seems like their biggest limiting factor is that stock turbo and they have the same problem with running out of the efficiency range on the car's stock turbo. This guy around here has already blown two engines from running too much boost on that skimpy turbo but he says he likes the way it spools...Fast car but that sure is costly...dunno if he actually upgraded his bottom end on the 3rd engine or not.

It does not take an lnf to beat srts on the stock turbo. I was on my factory m62 with 2.7 and meth and i would put two cars instantly on my boy chris from a 40 and hold it all the way till we shut down. Once he started pulling after i got the jump i couldnt pull on him though
