Finally got to race my friend in his ACR SRT4 against my poor little zzp stage 2... his mods are SRI, hardpipes, bov, forged wastegate i THINK, boost controller set at 17 psi which is what 1 psi above stock?. we both have been wanting to run each other for a while. he just had to re-run some vacum lines that were no good. so after they were fixed he was finally up to par... we ran from a dig at a light. lol he rolled on me i guess anticipation? thats why i hold my e-brake up lol so i can have the clutch slightly engaged lol. put since i dont spin at all. i chirped off the line and yea what do srt4's do? exactly... i had a car on him from 1st to second, than when i got in 3rd his hood creeped up to my door and since our third gears are basically awesome and long. when he shifted into 4th i got my car length back. shot into 4th and put a half car more. lol by that time i was WAY passed my trap speed i think i was at 115 and i was like ok thats enough and slowed down. he did the ricer flyby... i called him up i was like good race dood lets go get a phucking CHICKEN SANGWHICH lol so we get there and he admits he actually had a good launch, no bogging or anything. and said ok dood you have a quick cobalt i'll give it to ya. lol i said thanks. oh btw we raced in mexico... i didnt pay for the gas though thank god... cough

yo dont knock that SI he ran a 14.2 with just header/dp, no cat-back because the welds broke... u show me an si with no exhaust that can run that... on video also.

My younger Brother has an SRT-4, and he has an intake, catless DP with cutout, tranny and motor mounts, coilovers, wastegate and I believe that is it, and he can keep up with my tuned SS/TC. SRT-4's are no pushover cars, especially when you find someone who can drive it.

yea were actually going to let my friend Patrick run me in his ACR because he knows dodge and BMW's like anything. so were gonna run again probably friday i suppose... i'll still launch at my usual 2800rpm and chirp off the line with no wheel spin lol. Brickerenator will be back. i believe he was only temporary banned for 24 hrs or something small like that. like he cant comment but can view only type deal.

see i'm a ź mile guy. i dont usually give people rolls... everyone has there own personal say... i can beat a gm s2 all day from digs. but from a roll HAH no def not lol. plus if you read my problem post... my shift point is still 6500 due to zzp error. so i'm awaiting to get my rev limit raised to 7200 so i can finally shift at 7k

i hold the lock button in and let my clutch out right until it starts to grab slightly than as soon as i see green. i can roll hard into 1st and have a perfect launch... stock clutch 38k stage 2... so not its not hurting my clutch if thats what your wondering... and i just seen that roll race with the srt4 and gm s2... beautiful dood def

oh and obviously i put the e-brake back down when i launch... lol def not racing with ebrake on thats just mmm weird

i tried searching why he got banned but his most recent post dont seem offensive at all... if anything they look... normal... i guess someone will just have to email him and ask

The other thing is the parts that they throw on the car and how well they work to enhance the performance.

Doesn't really do a stock 05 SRT-4 any good to slap on a wastegate when they are just going to either throw an overboost code and go into limp mode or the PCM will just pull sh*t tons of timing away from you. It is counter productive. I keep trying to explain this to the newbs on the srt forums.

Now your friend would definitely benefit from getting a wideband, an Aeroforce Intercepter Scangauge (neither of those are power adders but will aid in squeezing power out of the car with the mods he has), a DTEC FC or SAFC or a Diablosport Predator and a custom tune on a dyno, some larger fuel injectors or a fuel return line, and maybe throw in some meth injection for good measure.

Yeah it is more money but for a stock turbo setup which most if not all of that can be reused for a bigger turbo setup later on down the road so it isn't money spent and then respent again later. One time purchase that is good for future mod plans (all except the injectors, those depend on how big he goes turbo wise).

I am sure it is the same with the SS/SC and the TC. You can't just slap sh*t on and expect to make 30-40 more hp with no effort.

Good race OP. Tell your friend though to get some power adders other than the wastegate. Everything else he has doesn't really do much. SRI on stock turbo doesn't do really anything but clear up some room in the engine bay, hardpipes and BOV = nothing, Forged wga = useless (get him to switch to the FM wga, it is way better than any wga out there for the SRT-4. PTP wga would be next and AGP wga would be last. Anything else is a waste of money IMO). Tell him to ditch the boost controller if he has an adjustable wastegate, they do the same thing, raise boost. He spent twice the money to do the same thing. Let me raise the boost up, wait let me raise the boost up more with the BC. That is pretty pointless. The BC's come in handy when you go big turbo since most external wastegates aren't adjustable. So you get only the boost that the spring tension is and then you use the BC to raise it from there. I ran my stock turbo and E1 turbo setup with just an AGP wga and then switched to the FM wga. That is it. A BC just complicated the whole thing for no real good reason. And stock boost is 12-14 psi mostly. Depends on weather and temp. The PCM changes it and adds or subtracts timing advancement to hit a target range of 230 whp. Anything over 18 psi on stock PCM will throw an overboost code unless he get the piggyback systems (DTEC, SAFC, mapclamp) or he gets a Diablosport Predator.
