Another Cobalt Moron
Driving home tonight on the Berlin Turnpike I saw a Yellow SS pull up quick. I was in my DD, a 98 Regal GS. I pinned it a little in 2nd to get his attention. He downshifted and we took off. I was inching up on him because he took the hit with some momentum. I was about at his rear wheel when he attempted to P.I.T. himself for no apparent reason at about 75mph.
Wanting to know wtf this kids deal was I tried to pull along side him, but he kept trying to P.I.T. himself. I mean cmon, 2800lb Cobalt vs 3500lb Buick? This kid had a death wish. He's lucky I swerved outta the way or he'd be either dead or severly injured. /rant about yet another moron Cobalt owner. |
honestly you should have ran the fucker off the road.
|
Now tell us how it felt to be bluffed into swerving your car. (-%

PIT maneuver is what cops do to make you spin out and usually end a chase. they tap your rear bumper and push, causing you to lose control.
... but how does one PIT himself? |
drive into the OP s front bumper.

Both of you are fools. Street-racing in the winter is for complete morons.

Street racing in general is semi-moronic. It's one thing toying with someone, but punching it to 120 or something on a public road is just insane. I do like those 0-60 sessions off of a light though, haha.

I go to about 90. After that I consider it too dangerous. That puts me high in 3rd gear and if I am going to pull and win it will be by the end of that gear. After that it is just over kill.

Oh yeah, definitely on the highway only. I love 795 in NC. It is practically dead half of the time. Great place to do 3rd gear pulls to street tune your car IMO.

Maybe next time you won't try to instigate a race between you and another car and you won't run into this kind of problem. With that said, yes the guy sounds like an idiot.
