it actually is an aftermarket kit that TRD offers. but you cannot finance the s/c with the car. tht tc's come stock with 160hp and the s/c actually bumps it to 190hp. at least thats what the TRD website says. hope this helps.
edit*** and they actuallly are pretty quick but the s/c ss can rape it.

i haven't seen a s/c one, but i ran into a turboed one....8psi is what i was told he was running

it was really quick, i beat him, but not by much. We hung nose to nose for a little bit, then he shifted. At the time i was running with a 2.9 pully and thats all(i think, i could have had my 2.7, 42 injectors and tuned), probably the closest race i have had

wow thats embarassing. any car pushing that much boost that doesnt have forced induction stock should smoke you imo. why buy the car and spend that much money to run 14's??? if im gonna run 8psi on something that is N/A stock, it is gonna have 350+hp end of story.

Scroll down to Important Info... says it cannot be financed with vehicle.
But That's DUMB to not allow them to finance it. I work at a ATV/Dirtbike/Snowmobile/Crotch Rocket Dealership, and a lot of parts sales are made through vehicle financing... DUMB move on Scion/Toyota's Part.

I had one Rev and stare me down as he went the other way in traffic...

Only Thought:

"Bitch... if you only knew!"

They do look pretty descent, and I like what Scion has going with the Full Customization thing. They're on the right track.

The TDR supercharger puts the tC's numbers in the range with the ss/sc, gti, si, rsx, etc. But the car won't run a 1/4 mile or brake faster, and can't handle like any of those cars i just listed. Dont get me wrong, im not knocking the car, its the only scion i like and for what it is, its a good $16-18,000 dollar car, but you got to dump 3-5 grand for the sc and to have in put in and then you were better off buying something different for the price and preformance

Yea, I think it is a TRD offer from the dealer. Its like 4 or 5k cash more. Not to mention SS/SC still will beat it. =D

Im not sure about the whole financing thing... I remember like a year or so ago I went on to scion and did the whole build your own scion thing to see what u could get.... the trd sc use to be on the performance list of stuff u could choose and I think it was like another 2500..... but I went on the other day and did it again to see if u could get the sc still and it wasnt on the performance list unless i was looking at the wrong part.

Nope, you are right... on Scion.com if you go to build your own... They have no SC n the Performance upgrade list. All kinds of other cool stuff. No SC.

Crazy, maybe they use to allow you to finance them.

I would go with a custom turbo though, if I owned a tC, they are making good power.

scion has taken rice to the next level. in their commercials where they talk about customizing your own and show those riced out tc's xa's and xb's....you can't get a single one of those parts from scion. ******* rediculous, but hey...toyota REALLY knows how to make money.

Too True... None of those custom paint jobs or any of that is on the site... I love the Commercial of the tC that has Shark Fins!!!

I wonder if they are just SO customizable... if I could have them go ahead and drop a Supra Twin Turbo engine in the engine bay... I'll ask.

Yea the 311whp was achieved with Meth Injection, Cams, 11psi and full exhaust.

Average bolt on WHP for the SS/SC on a bone stock tC is 205-215whp. Its a decent setup, but TRD voids your warrenty with the quickness if you install headers, smaller pulley, or an intake... so F TRD.

road and track tested that and came up with a 6.7 0-60, and a 15.1 quarter. they also said the suspension is horrible, with lots of understeer and body roll.

I don't know much about the tC deal, but I heard the S/C for it isn't exactly like the S/C like the M62 or others for example. Someone said that the S/C tC wasen't really meant to hotrod out, like its a restrictive S/C. The tC-T on the other hand, I guess it is just a stock naturally aspirated tC and an aftermarket turbo kit. I saw it in action and when I say it put buslengths on an SRT-4, it was scary. It was also only at like 8psi I believe.
