Bored... dumb kill... so not worth the fuel
God, im already done with you. Continue being a bigamist all you want in this thread along with the rest of you that think an awesome car killing a stock tiburon is the greatest thing ever. When you guys grow up, and realize that all cars have the same potential minus some of the advantages some cars have with balancing, you should get out of the car enthusiast world and trade in your cars for a bicycle. Use that loan money for something more useful like an education, hell maybe even in the automotive world. More educated automotive tech supports are always welcome.
sorry guy, all cars are not created with the potential to be equal. you can build anything, but there are definitely better and worse cars by large degrees.
no I understand that is an idiot. clearly a boost 4 cylinder is better than an N/A v6 that was completely done under with a shitty intake manifold and small throttle body. If you swapped in a better intake manifold that car would be around ~210hp instead of that shitty 171hp that its rated at. And this has been a proven gain with the upper and lower intake manifold. hell I think a boosted 4 cylinder is more along the lines of comparible to a v8 n/a or Nissans Z v6 (which had alot of engineering involved)
the intake mani is def one of the biggest flaws.
yeahh.....a 2.7L v6 motor thank you and its 310whp is what the guys at newtiburon.com are experiencing. with just a supercharger.
p.s. - welcome to my ignore list. should be apted as ignorant list

My options which I ended up paying for half of it + insurance was a.
a.) 1985 mustang fast back v8 rebuilt motor for 8,000 with 350$/month insurance
b.) 1997 civic ex beat to **** for 9,800$ (didnt check insurance already knew was rip off)
c.) 2000 Tiburon with >4k miles for 12,500$ and insurance was 146$
got the car in 2001. was a competitor for 2000-2002 civic si's
cars evolve over time. When the v6 car came out I liked it though about trading up but didnt have the lucrative funds especially involved with a 5 year loan. The v6 guys were always still dicks to me but I respected the car. in 2003 it was a good car for its price.
bottom line is no one should be a bigamist to any car maker. They all start somewhere, hyundai just happens to be the newest widespread manufacturer. They have done really well. If I didnt like the cobalt I wouldn't have bought it. I could have gone after a 370z if I wanted, but again cobalt was the cheapest thrill and Im glad I made that purchase for my 2nd car. Now I can save money and eventually buy a house. But don't knock the tiburon, I first learned to drive stick in that. It's a memory.
butt hurt isnt a strong enough adjective to express my feelings for a car that had gotten me around for 8 years without a single problem no matter how hard I abused it and modded it. wouldn't you feel even a bit alienated in a forum when someone decides to bash your first car? hopefully you showed love for it whatever it was.

yes we all have memories about our first cars and love them ( had a 87 celica with 55,000 kms)
the reason is, your getting all ass tight about somone taking a jab at a car...BIG DEAL MAN ITS THE INTERNET IT WILL HAPPEN.
if you get all sour puss over this, i hate to see what your like with your friends when they joke and say "atleast i dont drive a cailver" **** you must go off the wire.
just chill dude, if you would have said the part i bolded instead of jumping off the handel bars you would have looked alot more mature.

yea i guess. Sorry for my immaturity? no, it's been about 2 months since I traded the thing in, so its still fresh in my mind i'm a tibby owner. I would check into new products and new developments with the car ritually like most of us on this forum are doing all the time with our cobalts. So Ive seen numbers and I've seen nice things with the cars. It was never a recognized tuner car in my days so parts were very very hard to come by. lol I remember when I was 17 and i did my first stupid thing ever and street raced some kid and (won) but was caught anyways. cop cars >>>>tiburon. I went to a drive to survive class at a state trooper barracks and its funny cause everyone else had those classic wannabe tuner cars just like me. when class was on a smoke break I went outside and got over here some idiot say to his friend, "hey look a parent-sponsored car, huh huh huh". And I took it as a compliment that it looked clean lol. It was funny cause they had all the same class of car as me, and they were ragging on the hyundai.
still I know a s13>>cobalt SS >>than an N/A tiburon. My comment should have stated tiburons could be fast, not tiburon are fast. I know they arent when they are stock, from experience.
by the way I just have to add...
Nobody thought those two videos I posted were badass???? come on! Nobody tunes those cars, and the first time they came out someone threw two beta turbo engines in them to make it 620+whp AWD? thats sick. gas mileage was terrible tho. i seen it being sold 3-4 times a year, lol.

show me a non turbo/supercharged 2.0L motor that chevy makes that can break out of the 15s with out power adders. anyways, this goes to my saying, all our cars are **** brick cars at some point. There wil always be someone faster. Hell, that kid with the tiburon is probably making the same kinda post in a tiburon forum somewhere talking about some honda civic or ford focus he smashed with ease and probably shouldnt have wasted his time posting about it
. I know there is a group owning GTR35's that is probably laughing at our cars, saying they are worthless and anybody who wastes there moeny on them is fool. Especially with GM's place in the market. which by the way is bound to get better now since they reached flat bottom.
point is no 2.0L motor can break into the 14's without some huge amount of help. assuming you meant the 4 cylinder engine by this comment, beacause the v6 can certainly break into the 14s. without any power adders. Just need a good set of tires
and drop some weight, lol.
To me this thread was a show of power, having a fully modified absolute time proven RWD sports car vs a FWD just over a decade old car that some kids were probably in. To even post this as the OP said is an epic fail. good job. tell me when you kill a porsche 911 GT2.
I only commented that the tiburon could be fast and a worthy challenge, you go ahead with your car biased bullshit run your mouth about how the shark car is crap. You'd never know till you actually ran a real modified one, not some douche who watched to much fast and furious and thought stickers were cool and would give respect.
And to the guy with the 19 year PoS comment. Respect your elders
that car is a legend.
