ran a friends 05 gt last night.

before you go off and say it's just a mustang lets get the details out of the way.

4.10 gears, dyno max catback, bbk headers, ported heads. custom ground cams, bored .020 over, stroker crank. yea, not stock by any means.


runnin down the highway about 70 mph, he comes up next to drops gears. oh joy, this should be amusing.

i drop to third. he jumps the gun before i start to honk. i lay into it. i start to inch back on him, check the gauges, we're still in the green. hit 4th, start to creep away. let up at a high mph about 1/2 a car ahead.

Good job man! The money he has into that he could have done a blower, built motor, Im sure you ruined his day. I guess now he knows Mustangs don't respond well to NA mods.

ehhh. he didn't want a blower. i tried to talk him into the helion turbo kit. he gave up on that idea. about 10.5:1 cr. nothing radical. it's either really lean up top, or rich. im trying to get him off his ass to go out some weekend with me to tune to the damn thing. as it sits right now it trapped 113 on street tires.

+1 especially on an s197...dyno tunes on stock s197's have yeilded 30whp, on a built block, it'd be a major difference. Must have felt good to take him down.

 

so if hes trappin 113 the ? is what r u trappin? i dont see any time slips and from what i hear ur a hell of a tuner u need 2 take ur car 2 the track and see what it runs
