Yeah but at the track, the launch is key. If he runs a 14.0 @ 120 the 392 should be able to beat him if it has any sort of driver 
I was told, I dunno how true it is, they have a launch control style of traction control, where it doesn't hurt your launch too badly but limits wheelspin.
I know I watched one get walked badly from a roll by my Z on bottle and also by a bone stock new 5.0, so I wouldn't be worried.

My 2013 5.0 murdered a 392 Challenger LOL. Mine was fully bolted and tuned by me with a Boss 302 intake mani and 8000 RPM redline. Car made 440 whp 390 wrtq (trapped 123 MPH) and being a stripped down base 5.0 came in at 3450lbs so a lot lighter than the Challenger. I put a couple buses on him from a dig to 120. From a roll my old Cobalt would have walked away as well.

I used SCTs Advantage III pro racer software to tune the 5.0. HP tuners supports them now that I sold it LOL. I have never done a 3.7 but if HP tuners supports them now (not sure if they do) I can. Yes I had removed about 100 lbs of stuff from it total.

That Boss IM helps a ton at higher rpms. I should Velcro one on the sixxer to see what it does
At the end of the day, your still driving a Cobalt, while he is driving one badass 392 Challenger. If it was me with the Challenger, i wouldnt care if id lose, you can make anything fast.

I was like i have bolt-ons and I am guessing around 3 something hp, but I didnt say at the wheels though. He was like well i got 470hp. I could have smell the the smugness through the phone and hear his chest puffing up.
Is said ok thats fine, and I heard people in the background all laughing.
Thats fine and I accept the fact Im driving a balt and that there are way better cars out there, but he wants piece of me. I didn't provoke him in any way shape or form. I just drop the baby moms to work and go about my business. I agree but if I was driving a badass such challenger, why would I feel the need to stomp on a lowly cobalt? Too flex my oozzing machismo? idk...Im pretty sure its gonna be a friendly matchup tho...he wasnt being a douche.

I didnt know he was trash talking, just figured he'd like to race. Which racetrack are you guys going to? Do you still live in Federal Way WA? Ive heard a few guys down here would want to do a meet up there, so maybe we can see you race this challenger lol

Its not even going to be a race. A 400whp and torque SS is going absolutely smash that thing. Don't they have like 25% driveline loss? Don't they weigh 4300lbs? Put this guy and his 392 to sleep! "But its still a Cobalt" is what he's gonna say even when he gets walked.
