Chevy Tahoe??

Yep..wanted to get it on with me from a roll.
It was a 2000 something model and REAL FU$$KN LOUD. Had dual exhaust too. Seemed pretty fast...not fast enough though. Pulled along side of me and gunned the motor..then stayed right beside me...til I floored it. Of course ya know what happened..why bother. Then pulled along side me window rolled down...says TURBO??
Can these be made to haul A$$? I assume they can.

The 2000 Tahoe can be made fast. But why? There are better options like a GMC Typhoon that would kill most of the cars here from a dig with basic mods, or a trailblazer SS. I suppose if he had a tune and full exhaust, intake, cammed, machined heads, and forced induction he could probably keep up... But those things weigh like 6,000 lbs or something. It would take alot of power to beat a SC or TC balt.

Either way who cares, racing is about the adrenaline rush anyways, win or lose. Have fun and stay safe

This guy had *something* going on for sure. Before the roll, he jumped in front of me very quickly..thing really took off and was friggin' LOUD..duals too. Sure..he would need 500HP with that weight to be competitive. Car didn't sound stock at all though.

Well if its the 5.7 you can get power easy from them. I have worked on a few. You could probably get 500 hp for that motor with intake mani, intake, full exhaust, tune, and cammed, maybe a port and polish, and some good race fuel. 500hp no problem. there is a youtube video with a half ton single cab beating a cobalt and a 350z I think. Let me find the link.

EDIT: here you go.
YouTube - Silverado vs Cobalt SS Turbo vs 350z

And thats just the 5.3 liter too.

it really does not take that much cash to make the lsx engines run like that. the 350 was slow as heck! but the ss did very well considering no than it had done to it! but we are also weighing in a nearly 3000 pnd difference too. power to weight ratio.

But as you know engine mods aren't that expensive. Its the trans, axles, brakes, and clutches/torque or stall converters that cost like 1500 for each mod. The engine sounded like it had some good stuff but they didn't list all the drivetrain mods, I'm sure of it.

I love how that truck sounds.
