cobalt ss t/c vs bike 600??

so i had a run with a bike not sure what it was it might have been a cbr 600 or r6.. don't bash me i don't know what it was. so any ways it was from a 60. we both went at it he fell a bike length back until about ninety then down shifted again thinking he was gonna walk me and it was neck and neck until 130. if he was in the right gear the whole time i know he would have taken me but i would have still put up a good fight. i think it was a r6.

I don't know man, I've seen 600cc rockets cut high 11s with speeds approaching 120. Was it a harley?

r6? you just think that GTO pulled on you up top... lol

sorry, your car is fast and all, its not beating a modern 600cc bike in any race.... not when properly ridden

I beat an old Katana 600 one time, but thats something hardly to be proud of. A properly driven 600 should be able to rape ya unless you go for a larger turbo. Then again if they were running giant size wheelie sprokets you might get them when they run outta gear. But they should be bus links ahead by the time that happens.

Not much to say here except crappy rider in wrong gear really, he should have yanked you pretty bad from most any speed under 120. Bikes take a good rider to really ring them out, chalk that up to a win for you over the rider not the bike...

^ I beat a ZR1 cause the guy was grinding gears and missing shifts, should that be chalked up to a good kill too??? In your eyes it should, and if it is a good kill then I should tell people about it right...

Come on, be a little smarter then that please!

Racing is just as much about beating the driver(rider) as it is about beating the car(bike). Nice kill man.

What are you 10 man I mean come on, he said he beat a bike and your jumping all over his ***** calling bs.

Saying it was the rider, the bike, whatever he still beat it fare and square

Just believe him, say congrats and move on, theres no point in arguing with him or anyone about it cause you weren't there.

And your little comment about beating the zr1, sure post it up in a thread. I'm sure you will get a lot of attention like the "beating a lambo" thread did I mean thats a bone head comment.

You know just aswell as everybody else that you didnt beat a zr1 even if he mishifted, grinding gears, etc. he would still beat you.

There is r6's out there like the 01's I believe that are carb'd that are not nearly as fast as the 06+

Eh true..they are still pretty fast man. Putting down anywhere from 96-100 hp to the wheel. They are no sloutch, low-mid 11's in the 1/4.

Dude, have you ever owned a bike or been on one? i mean a sport bike? a 2001 or 2006 doesnt matter, its all relative. and the reason why i think ur race was bs is bc at 60mph in 6th gear on my r6, it pulls pretty hard. i think a 600cc bike in 6th gear would be an ok race for a ss/tc, until the bike gets above 8k and rapes it.

and yeah, those carburated r6's will put damn near 100 wheel hp to the tire. thats stock. for instance my r6 (fuel injected) puts about 101-103 hp to the tire stock. Do a race header, slip on, and power commander with a custom tune and youll be around 130 to the tire. BIG difference on a bike.

In for the lulz. Is this the third or fourth 600cc sport bike kill in the war stories section? I can't remember. Wonderful. We have a 16psi cobra kill and a 600cc bike kill on the same page.

It could have been a newer 500. That's about what I would expect.

I used to own a Ninja 600, doubt you beat it that R6. It takes quite a bit of power to beat a modern 600, much more that what you are putting down, yes even if bikes "die" after 60 mph.
