"I almost cried on the way home after, but yes it did happen. Now before people freak out, you should know it was MODIFIED. "Stage 2" meaning he was running 17lbs boost with new injectors, a tune, intake. We only raced once, from a 40 roll and he got the jump. He immediately put a half car on me and that was it, up to 100 I couldnt catch him but he didnt gain any ground. I also had a passenger who filmed the race so one of these days I will put my shameful video on here. Im dissapointed that I lost to a cobalt, but to his credit it was a fast car and the guy is cool.

Now its back to modifying the car again though, I left it alone for over 6 months, but losing to a Cobalt is enough for me."

I was gonna say that too. He must have different stage kit. Stage 2 boosts 15lbs

cavi's didn't come supercharged or turbocharged either... it's like they assume cobalts are soooo slow. ******* haters.

Nice LOL. I got an 05 S/C stock, and Ive raced a stock 350z from a dig and won, very close race, pulled on him on second once i got the power back to the wheels, wasnt much, less than a half length but i still won.

350z are sweet rides, even more so when you start looking at higher end like the nizmo. Its just they are heavier cars than they look.

 

Depends on the year 350Z you race. 03-06 pretty easy kill. 07 up you might just find yourself surprised.

 

It's probably the fact that it started life as an economy car to save gas, what person that drives a performance car would want to lose to an economy car? I know I wouldn't.

people severely underestimate them. i've had a few people laugh at me when they found out i had a cobalt, people assume with the 205hp rating they put down like 180 and are slow as *****, not realizing that they put out much more than that stock. after a quick ride though it changed. granted it's not a speed demon, but i think it's plenty fast for a dd.

the older z's are a good race for cobalts, the new ones can be pretty damn fast.

 

My Cobalt SS/SC will get in excess of 33 MPG highway if I'm not playing with it , always playing with it though so will neva happen for me Friend of mine has a 350Z at work but she has no clue what she has or if its even fast , LOL ! Racing her would not be fun , no challenge !

yea was at least a full car. people do it wrong. if he pulls to your front door, that's a half a car. some people think that if he's a half car in front of your bumper, that's a half car. but it's really a car and half.

on our local forums there is hate after hate on cobalts..mostly because its all honda guys..rsx's and stuff..

some guy just said his RSX will never be compared to a **** pile cobalt...yeah

lets see here..

precisely. All the GTI, and Hon-duh fanboi cant stand the fact that their engines are inferior compared to the SRT4 and the SS, yet they paid more $$ for it.
