cobalt ss vs another h22 powered honda

well, I usually don't post in here, but I figured I'd let ya'll know about this one as it is my 3rd h22 powered honda kill. Previous kills were a h22 del sol with integra front end, and a h22 accord. Last night was a h22 civic hatch. I honestly thought that it would be a closer race.

hole shot- I jumped out 3-4 car to a car, thank you boost limit!
top of 1st, I pulled about another half a car.
hit second, and pulled about another 2 cars through second.
hit 3rd and pulled out to about 5-6 cars, maybe more and he just shut down.

He told me he didn't expect to get beat that bad, actually that he didn't expect to lose. I gave him props for trying. All this happened last night at Americruise in Lincoln, NE. We were out racing from 130am to 430am. It was crazy! probably over 150cars out there. There was some crazy races too. Hopefully the guy that was videoing will post up soon on the local board and I can post it on here for you guys to see.

on the way back to omaha, I raced a '07 wrx with I/E from a 60 roll and just slowly walked away. then I raced a '04 mustang gt with header back exhaust and gears and slowly walked away. great night!

Why did they make any other kind? Maybe some old school super low output one? F22 maybe?

you have to remember, i have a raised rev limit and disabled tq management. That day I went to the track, it was 100+ degrees and I was heat soaking bad. If I had been at the track that night with that weather, no doubt I would have been trapping over 100. She was doing much better in 60 degrees weather no doubt. I trap 79mph in just the 1/8th mile on that hot day and that was with a shitty first gear. my boost limiting in 1st really helps on the street, but isn't much help at all at the track with all the vht they lay down. I'm pretty sure the driver of the hatch couldn't drive that well either. but no doubt, he got beat and beat badly. like i said, he was surprised as well.

thanks for vouching jason. I didn't think someone would call bs. lol. idiots. hopefully kyle will have that vid done soon.

by the way, Just because some rookies can't launch their car doesn't mean I can't launch mine. I have boost limiting to help with that also.

good kills man... nice to know someone can laucnch this beast.....launching at the track is totally differnt then launchin on the streets... i hook much better and can rev higher on the street but anything over 1500 at the track results in a hop, hop, hop and then you got the spin in there too....

like i said good kills

no you cant launch. . .dont blame your lack of driving ability on the car

if he was trapping 79MPH in the 1/8th i could see it running very low 14's or high 13's with a great launch. I trap 79.81MPH in the 1/8th and run high 13's

It's because we have to live with the fact that some cobalts cost $13,000 and that's how we're looked upon. some cheap POS that's all talk. a lot of people don't even realize we're supercharged!

To the Origional Poster,

Are you a 2.4, or a 2.0 SC?

2.0 supercharged. i highly doubt a 2.4 ss could trap 79mph in just the 1/8th with nothing but some ecu tricks and diy tranny mounts. lol.

thanks again jason for vouching for me. lol. You are like my only proof until kyle gets that vid done.

yea, that's why I rarely post in this forum. I figured since there will be a vid of it coming, I'd go ahead and post it though. I'm still waiting on him to finish the vid. There was a lot of racing that night. so it'll be a pretty big vid.
