Yes I have watched it, my car is in it. Yes it is uneventful as it is a test vid on a boring night. However, we did have some better footage but a good amount of it was left out. All 4 of the vehicles involved are ss.net members from Az. We will have a better video soon.

Regaurdless of the videos' qaulity these people are still bashing the car. But they are idiot fanboys from one group or another so the hell with them. End of story.

Edit: This video also never had to make it to this forum as it origionated on this forum. Go check the pictures/video section dude. It's also not that old as it's only been up 3 weeks at the most.

And sorry to say guys, but the SS/SC really hasnt done anything yet to demand any respect. It costs the same or more as an SRT4 or WRX, and is slower than the SRT4 and just slightly above the WRX, and even with simple mods it still hasnt done that much. IMHO it shoulda been a 13 second car by now, but that seems to be hard to do without nitrous whereas the SRT4 was there from damn near day one. So yeah, theres gonna be alot of hate on the car from people. Hell I personally dont like the car, and Im not gonna be afraid to admit it. Some people wont like your ****, others will. You have to learn to DEAL WITH THE CRITICISM. Because in the automotive hobby, thats how its been since hot rodding began and thats how it will be until the day it dies. You got haters, you got lovers, and you got people that just dont care either way. Simple as that. So why bother bitching?

 

**** like this just motivates me more and more to build up my car. I can't wait until next summer. Mods Galore and the most important mod will be a video camera to capture me smoking every car I can. Let ppl talk their **** cuz they will until we shut them up!!!

 

excatly, you have to roll with the punches. I was offered an amazing deal on the GTP and turned it down for the SS, cause I just cant stand the GTP. You cant be everything to everyone. The stage 2 on the SS with I/H/E (Maybe cams) should bring you right about at the 300wHp mark, which to me, is plenty fast for a streetable fwd 4 banger. If all those mods get me is close to 300wHp , then thats just fine. If I wanted more than that I would not have bought the SS. Not everyone likes the appearance of the srt 4 and when comparing cars they are all fairly cheap in a relative sense, so theres no way I am going to feel jipped driving this car. Most people I see are pretty cool with the car, especially in the VW and Honda circles. I get the most flak and hear the most bs from people driving 5+ year old GM cars.

 

Seems like a sure case of small ***** syndrome there. There will always be someone better, faster, more money, longer *******, whatever. Get over it. I actually got to catch a twink that was running around town in a turbo civic giving everyone hell and filming it. He attempted to mess with me and got a little surprise. The funny part was he posted on a forum that I'm a member of and nicely edited out the footage of messing with me. When I called him on it(I recognized the area of the footage, and his car) he left the forums never to to heard from again.

I mod my wrx for me though, it's something to do on the weekends(and get the hell away from the wife) I love taking it to the strip and track, but on the streets I drive pretty sane. I also drive a stock G35, and a bike. If we all didn't have at least the smallest bit of competitive spirit we'd be driving a prius.

This is the line that caught me "Mods Galore and the most important mod will be a video camera to capture me smoking every car I can". I don't videotape myself because I know what my car can do, and don't really care about showing how it desimates other cars. No need to. How is a video camera the most important thing? Most important thing would be to go to the Skip Barber school of driving to learn to actually drive(I'd been to the track for YEARS, and felt like such a n00b after the 3 day class, so much so I've taken 3 different classes there), then get really good insurance, then go out with the attitude of "win or lose, it's a blast" I lose more than I win because I don't go around looking for people to pick on, I actually hunt for cars that will be a challenge, and if I lose again? who cares, it was fun.

 

I hear ya, I have always had a POS hand me down car but I have been racing since I was a teen, cart, bike etc not a pro and trust me I have plans on going to driving school. Now that I finally have a car that performs and has potential and I just wanna go faster (mods galore). The camera comment was just for the thread to relate to the streetfire issue, because it seems the only way ppl believe/respect ur car is through video. To this day all the races i have been in with my car the ppl have hunted me. I go out all the time looking for someone to race but it always ends up the other way around. I love to win but I never felt bad when I got destroyed by an SVT Cobra. I just love to race!
