Crushed a Camaro

After work yesterday me and my friend decided to setup a friendly race. He has a 90's something camaro V6 auto with a hooker muffler. We decided to go from a 20 roll. I was in a pretty good point formy car and ended up getting a good launch. We both were even into 2nd gear. After that I started pulling hard. I had nearly 3 cars on him by the time we stopped at somewhere near 70.
He's got around 150k miles compared to my 2.5k so his poor camar ois a bit tired. None the less I spanked him and it both surprised me and him. I figured it would be a much closer race then it was, but I guess the good ole balt came to win.

Today I raced my other friend's 90 something Jeep Cherokee V6 auto with headers. We went from a dig and I totally destroyed him by buses to about 100mph, which I knew I would since my old 1.8L Nissan would beat him.

Next Opponet: Friends BMW Z3 or a cocky kid with a turbo diesel.

............anybody ever race a turbo diesel ford?

Cherokees have Inline sixes.

Low compression too...tell him to boost it...I have seen built 4.0s put down 11s in a wrangler chassis

Oh and keep rolling with him after 100 I bet he'll catch up

Them things can bury the speedo's quite easily

i would be careful with those turbo diesels. those things can have some serious power with just a reflash. i know the few i saw at the track were running in the mid 13s, and they were supposedly the slower ones.

Oh yeah i knew it had a 6 cyclinder, wasn't quite sure which type. OH and i doubt he'd catch me after 100, I'd top out way before he'd gain all those car lengths back.

Im not sure on the year, he didnt even know what his engine size was ,so i'll have to take a look under the hood. I rode with him once and it seemed pretty slow. Im guessing its an inline-4 of some sort. It's got a 5speed though.
I just want to see how I run against him, because he's know at my school for "the kid with the beemer". I want to be the kid who beat the beemer.

They will do 140+ given the space and distance.

Our cars are COMPLETE DOGS after 125

The only inline four you will beat no questions asked is the 1.9L

Any other motor will beat you/be real close but the advantage is still to him.
