The Day I Got The Car

I picked up my car in the morning before I went to work a few months back. I'm driving home from work and turn onto a long freeway entrance ramp. I'm behind a late 90's honda accord that's got a spoiler big enough to handle a Leer jet and enough gauges to drive a person crazy behind the wheel. Obviuosly, he's running some sort of turbo and he's got NO2 stickers on his rear bumper. He's threading his clutch and blipping his throttle as we wait in the long line being held up by a semi going up the ramp. The ramp is the very start of this 2 lane freeway, and the entrance ramp has a lane on the right for about half a mile to the next exit. As soon as the last car clears into the middle lane, I immediately dart into the far left lane in second gear doing about 40mph as he stays in the right lane. Neither of us have any cars in front of us. 2nd gear at 40mph rolling is an ideal starting point for our cobalts to just friggen launch, as I'm sure you're all aware. I immediately pull a car length even tho i had to dart over 2 lanes right off the bat. He is also in second gear I would imagine at this point, and hear him shift into third a bit before i'm ready as his RPM range is not nearly what ours is. As I hit the clutch to shift into third, I hear him hit the bottle (what a rediculous sound that car makes when he does it!!) and he immediately pulls even. This all happens in the fraction of a second obviously, and the second his bumper is even with me, i pop the clutch into third gear and hit it just perfectly and just rocket past his ugly, bottle fed piece of honda lawn care equipment. With just a rediculous adrenaline high I watch him take the next exit. It made me smile to think about how much money he had dropped into that piece of crap and he couldn't beat my stock SS S/C. Since then I have made mincemeat out of all those ricer vtecs rolling all over my neighborhood, hence the name vtecduster. Thank god I bought this car.

No doubt about that, i got my seat handed to me by a totally stock looking SI about a month back, but the little 18 year olds don't usually have enough cash to pull 10 seconds, so i take my chances
