E85 M62 SS/SC vs. E85 04 Sti
The other day I touched up the tune on a friend's SS after he put his exhaust on. The car has 80#ers, 2.7, intake, 3" downpipe, 2.5" catback, STOCK header, and is on E85.
Shortly after that I tuned his friend's 04 STi on E85. It has 740cc DW injectors, walbro 255, intake, turboback exhaust, and is on 18.5 lbs on E85.
They decided they wanted to have a rematch since the sti couldnt touch the SS back on 91. We had 4 people in the STi and 3 in the balt. First run we dropped to about 35 mph.

We then did a 50 roll. The balt spun a little bit but here was the outcome.

The balt IS on E85. Both cars are. We had so many people because everyone and their damn cousin wanted to watch lol. I told them they need to race to a higher speed. I mean the balt never even got out of 3rd gear
No numbers on the balt, but with a few less mods back when the STi was tuned on E85 before, it ran a 12.6 @110.5 spinning through first. It is a little faster now. I do want to see these cars on the top end though with 1 or 2 people in each car. Im trying to get another friend to race the STi who has the same setup but with a vibrant header to see the difference. The balt in the vid belongs to uv_blue here on the forums.

but your lack of reading ability makes me worry seriously! Why else would you post what you do...? I keed i keed.. or do i? Vagina hert much..?
And to be honest if the STI pulled that hard with more people (min 100+lbs more) it would just get uglier than it is all ready IMHO from a roll and would be even worse from a dig. Header or not 8-10 WHP is not going to make up that difference IMHO! Those STi's are no joke on E!

Rematch will happen soon. Sti was in 5th at the end of the vid and balt was still in 3rd. It just needs to stretch its legs more to get a decent comparision. The STi will probably still win, but it will be a better race without all of our fat asses in there and going a little higher

Interesting races for sure. Still think the Balt did pretty good for how much the STI has done. But that is to many people in both cars, just do one race, drop one off, get another lol. It's taped for a reason also.
It may gain him even a little more than that with how much he has done. Just have to tune it good.
