Sounds like a good set up man, nothing stupid about using the AEM filter on a good intake..nothing stupid at all.

Little more than the stage 2 I thought you were running...congrats on the kill!

All of this assuming you can both drive.

That is the dumbest thing i have ever heard.... All they have is low end. Look at STIs and EVOs traps they suck compared to their E.T.s. WOW!

compared to their et's? That's because they can launch like crazy. If you could cut 1.7 60's your et's would be alot lower with an even lower trap. That's what happens when you get traction...something you fwd guys know nothing about.

Really? Thats what i cut is a 1.78. You ever heard of slicks? I even have my slicks on the stock rims. I am not even running as good as slicks as most srt-4s.

cuz most srt-4's run slicks. How do their traps suck compared to their et's? If you are cutting 1.7-1.8 60's and running low 13's, you should not be trapping over 105-106...if you are you should be getting faster et's, simple as that. Their traps don't suck for their et's, they just have great traction. It's cars like srt-4's, cobalts, etc. that have horrible et's for their trap speeds.

Me too. I run 1.7 60s and trap over 106.

ok...? so you are faster than a stock evo yay. That still does nothing for the argument that their traps suck for their et's.

You should hear him tell the stories in person, much better that way!

Good job Will.

If you want to race DarkmanX, do it now, before we make his car faster.

Different means but same result. Does it really matter when you are on the strip whether you can cut a 1.6 60 and cross the line at 13.2-13.5 at only 101-104, or whether you cut a 2-2.1 60 but still run that 13.2-13.5 but at 110 or so? End result is still that 13.2-13.5 for both cars, just different ways of getting there. BTW im not saying YOU are running these times. Im simply just showing you that it doesnt really matter if our traps suck compared to our ets. They make parts to fix that anyways

Actually..."all they have is low end" is the dumbest thing I have ever heard.

I am sure you have driven one right? Let me guess you will give me the whole...I have a friend of a friend who owns one...I raced one...I have seen them run...blah blah blah. Your statement shows that you lack a clear understanding of how traps and ET's work.

It's top end may not be as viscious as it's lower end, but a tuned STI with a turbo back...will pull very respectable...all the way until it buries the speedo.

Here watch this:
http://videos.streetfire.net/categor...7b012a8c39.htm

Wow..you are so right Klug..look how much it magically slowed down

Maybe you should know something about the car you are talking **** about?

Thats wierd, i have driven many sti, evos before i bought my srt-4. Just dont like them. They feel like stock mustangs with drag radials and gears. At first, "Ah Damn". Then shortly after. "......Ah yeah, thats it?"

I dont have to sit here and explain to you guys how 60's, traps, and ets work. No point in wasting my time. Ask codyss he might take the time.

By the way i am talking stock. Not a tune and a catback. So dont tell me that your MODIFIED STI did this. I dont give a ****. thats not what i am talking about.

Your 19...I am 30. I was drag racing when you were still taking your big wheel around the block. Pretty sure I don't need an explanation from you, nor did I ask for one.

You must not have watched the video of the stock STI I just posted? Sure didn't look like it slowed down too much to me? I have been driving since you were 8 years old though..so what do I know.

It was too painful to read, so I had to stop. But, if I had to guess you "hung" with, or even "inched" out an evo. If so, good work. Not everyone here's native language is english so I understand.

Thats what causes the problem here. Yes, with a tune, an STI can be stupid quick for stock parts. Mid-high 12's all stock with just boost control via tuning. My friend does it in his 2005 Evo. Stock, they do feel a bit sluggish in the upper RPMs compared to the tremendous surge you feel at low speeds. Notice that I said "feel". They are not slower up top, its just not as impressive as a bigger turbo/higher boost, where you feel the power/torque build. Fast nonetheless.
