Evo IX vs 2008 Corvette - Evo IX vs 2008 M3 Help me figure this out!
I had two races recently and am very confused by the outcomes, hopefully you guys can help me figure it out.
Evo IX vs 2008 Corvette
0-120
I put 4 car lengths on the Corvette without using the 2-step launch feature
Evo IX vs 2008 M3
0-120
Dead even, dead tie, nobody pulled anybody and I used the 2-step launch feature (I delayed a split second to make sure that the guy was gonna go)
*2-step launch on my Evo = revs to 5800 to build your boost
Now I thought the new Corvettes run the 1/4 mile in 12.8 and the new M3 runs it in 12.6, no? I didnt have the opportunity to see if the M3 was modded at all, but with it being such a new car I would doubt it, or is there an aftermarket for it? What do you guys think about these two outcomes?

It was not a Z06
I guess it coulda been a bad driver but I've raced another c6 vette before my cams and meth and put 2 lenghts on him, I mean could the new M3's just be underated?

If the Evo has NLTS it good for a low 12's pass. Depending where his rev limiter is at because he might possibly have to shift into 5th if it's not set a like 8k. Either way, good races. It's always nice to see an Evo laying the smack down.

Unfortunatly I have yet to hit the track But sounds like your boy has pretty nice setup, that race gas will definatly make a big difference.

The vette just blew the launch, nothing else about that. Had you gone from a roll the vette would have walked away from you. The 08's are the LS3 and with bolt ons are trapping mid-high 120's. I beleive they have trapped as high as 120 stock (but don't quite me on that). The M3 other then the launch seems right. You paused which allowed the good traction M3 to take away your launch advantage then it was a roll race from there. They trap mid teens like 113-115 from what I have seen and heard, so once moving a good race for you. I don't know if you have seen that video of the Z06 versus the GTR, but in the end it said they tried 7 times to run from a dig but the GTR would check out until almost 160 when the vette would run it down (the vette either bogged of blew the tires). Same thing here, vette just couldn't launch it and with you being able to let you check out! AWD works wonders from a dig, as you already know!
Good runs, I would love to see them on video!
