So here's the scenario. Ran across this Gen coupe on route 40 that kept reving his motor and playing with his BOV. I yelled out the window nice car, and he gave me an aggressive grin and revved the motor making the BOV noise, I spooled it in 5th and went by him to make some rebuttled turbo noises, lol.

Now I realized who he is and that he knows some peeps in my group. Easily found him on facebook and here is the exchange so far.

sure, I dont think im faster. I need to get my tune adjusted but I havent had time to go see my tuner. The damn car is running -7.0% to -9.0% for my Long Term fuel trim.. Monday, Im getting the EVAp vent valve replaced at the dealer.

Alex im all for it I havent run at the track with the new tune though either... have no idea what it will run. But I did keep up with a 600cc bike after I took the jump lol (meaning he didnt pull me).

stock I ran a 14.02 @ 104 at the cecil track. Im making maybe 50-60 more hp with this tune over stock

nice, you ever bring it back to cecil with this new setup? Im curious how it did on the 1/4 mile? I was interested in a gen coupe back when the car first came out but Jones Junction wanted to rape me with AMR costs.... (Adjusted Market Retail) They tacked on another $10k to a 2.0T track... I couldnt justify that at all and chevy was just handing these things out like they had a disease or something.

Okay guys,

Saw a red Gen coupe two days ago playing around rte 40. Realized that I've chatted with this fellow on Gen coupe. Realized that some of you are already familiar with him. Question now is, are you guys familiar with his build? Sounds like he did a Evo 9 factory turbo swap and he's making 327whp. What are my chances? lol. Also, is he cool or not so much? When I drove by him I yelled at him nice car and he gave me an aggressive grin thing... :/ and feathered his throttle making the blow off valve do work. I responded by full boosting in 5th to make turbo noises back at him.
Whats the concensus for a 40 roll and from a dead stop?

They are just cracking in low- mid 300's with turbo swap clutch kits kits full bolt-on's yadda yadda? If you lose, oh well... he has some good cash tied into it, how much you got tied into yours? 500-1,200? point being race and it should be close and if you win; you can brag about how little you have invested. If he wins; you claim well sure you got several grand tied into it!

lol okay, I will try and set up a race with him. Im pretty sure after watching the LSJ video that I could take him. I just wanted to see if his claims of making potentially 341whp at 20psi are valid. I've never heard of anything like that... not on a gen coupe stock block with a stock evo turbo.

also a good thing to note is his username has cammed under it... he has photos of his head pulled apart. there's a potential that he has baby cams on it as well. I didnt notice any gurgles when I passed him tho.

Whoop the hell out of him. Fastest possible scenario is its as fast as a stock c5. Should weigh about the same. If hes unning 95mph traps in a rwd car with 330whp then he just fails at life. Prob bogging it off the line and afraid to launch it.

On paper you should win. Gen coupes weigh 3300lbs. If he's only trapping @ 95mph, he obviously can't drive to save his life.

My advice - set up a 40-ish roll and rape him. Then do a dig and rape him again.

Oh! And get it all on video and make sure to post it on the Genesis forums.
