hard to tell when the camara car is a half mile behind. either way it looks like a 5-600 hp cobra is a very good match for a mid 700 hp new style ss. should have had someone at the end of this race.
Wrong, the entire point of these two guys running was to show that peak dyno numbers mean nothing. According to both of the drivers they are both good drivers. Cobra has a much better powerband, that's all.
i'm not a fan of the prochargers, unless you spend all day in the higher rpms (i.e. road course track racing). i'd be willing to bet that the camaro's dyno looks a lot like a turbo, nothing down low then a shitload of power up top. the down low torque from the whipple'd cobra seems to take the race
Not really
As much as I love my Cobra, she's the fat b**** the early 2000's. From the factory they are 3650lbs and with a bigger blower set-up and the rest of the upgrades that guy has (which is very similar to my set up), he's probably close to tipping in at 3700.
Well it's easy to get the weight down. Lose 160lbs by swapping to a SRA and lose 65lbs going to an aftermarket K-member. Not to mention there's 80ish lbs in the rear and passenger seats.
