Farewell Rides

For financial reasons I will soon be letting go of my '09 SS/TC. But before I do, I decided to take off my snow tires and have a bit of fun.

Leaving work this afternoon I wanted to cruise around a bit, and as I pull out of the parking lot, lo and behold, a lowered, wingless, de-badged Suby cometh my way. I gotta say, those cars are sexy and sound great, but I wanted to have some fun.

I slowed way down and let him catch up, and played a bit on a 1/2 mile stretch to see if he wanted to run. We lined up next to each other on a double left turn lane, made the turn in sync and traffic ahead of us dispersed nicely. He lined up and put it back in 2nd, i did the same, and once he punched it I did too. No brake boost. He pulled out initially but by my shift from 2nd to 3rd, I pulled around him and we had pretty much caught up to traffic.

My car's not fast, just GMS1, i don't know if he was WRX or STI or had anything beyond an exhaust. Frankly, I don't care. It was a fun adrenaline rush and now one more person in the world is wondering how they got beat by a Cobalt.

Anyhoo, I rarely post but often read, I enjoy the hell out of this forum and have learned a lot. In the next few weeks I should have some snow tires/rims, badges and a chrome gas door for sale. Thanks for reading.
