Well I finally have a win under my belt, I lost to an srt-8 last week but this weekend I had a celica gt-s riding my tail. I was doing about 100 in an 80 and he was about a foot from my bumper. So when I was him go for the pass I waited till he was pulling and just about at my drivers door. I geared down to third and he could not pass........I would have pulled him hard after that but let him pass. Feels nice to get a win.

doesnt 3rd top out at 105,? and you were going 100 and you downshifted to 3rd? did a piston shoot out of the hood of your car?

yeah third gear's redline is right at 100mph, my 1/4 mile trap speed is 98-100mph and im just shifting into 4th at the 1/4 mile mark

 

I am actually in Toronto canada. 96kmh=60mph.

I agree it would have saved this if he put km/h

but some people should realise that the whole world doesnt run old worn out methods of measurement, and when something doesnt make sense....instead of jumping on the flame wagon....think for a second instead.

you dont see people from other countries saying ZOMG 100 is SLOW because they realise that theres more than 1 measurement system on the planet, and they likely dont mean KM/h, and use their head for a second.

hell we have had people come to the CANADIAN regional forum and flame people, and call them liers for temperature/speed/canadian dollars......
