Found his car on Craigslist
He deleted the post due to selling his car, but at least I copied and saved his "mod list" Having all these mods makes me feel better about my balt! All I knew about before was the MSD, Cams, and X-Pipe.
We raced from a 40 and a 60 roll a couple times and I each time I beat him by at LEAST 3 cars. Keep in mind, I am stock with an intake, TD and bald-ass tires.
Half of his **** I have no clue what they are lol.
Here's what I copied from the ad:
Up for sale, is my 92 Mustang LX. I've owned it for less than a year but it is time for a change. It has 115K miles and has the following mods:
306 CID with forged internals (XXX block a.k.a. porno block)
F303 roller cam & lifters
Steel 5.0 heads with three angle valve job (bowl hogged)
Crane cam valve springs, good up to 600 lift
BBK equal-length headers 1 7/8 primary tubes
Real Cobra upper & lower intake
75mm Power products TB with adjustable TPS
EGR spacer
4" Anderson Power pipe
77mm MAF meter
24lb Ford injectors
MSD 6A Ingition module
King Cobra clutch
T-5 w/hardened internals
Pro 5.0 short shifter
FRPP posi unit
FRPP 4:10 gears
FRPP axles
Eibach 1" lowering springs
2.5" Bassani offroad X-pipe w/Flowmasters

5.0s can be made quick cars, but they never have much power. Alot will run 12s but trap low, hence why he lost from a roll. I dont see what you are saying about never hearing of stuff on his mod list. They are all mods.

They aren't much for the top end, but they will get up fast. That's why they're such good 1/4 mile cars. One of the best cars for the money if you know what you're doing. If you get a 5spd with the right cam and a port job you can run low 12's to high 11's with the rest of the car being stock.

I know we can beat any stock to slightly modded Mustang GT from a roll, so it wasn't anything special. Ryan wanted to race him cause of course Frank was "bragging" After I beat him, Ryan said there was no point on him racing him.
Franks was the first Mustang I ever raced.

306 CID with forged internals - which makes no hp over the stock 302
F303 roller cam & lifters
Steel 5.0 heads with three angle valve job (bowl hogged) - stock e7 heads?
BBK equal-length headers 1 7/8 primary tubes - way too big for a stockish 5.0
Real Cobra upper & lower intake
75mm Power products TB
77mm MAF meter
MSD 6A Ingition module
FRPP 4:10 gears
2.5" Bassani offroad X-pipe w/Flowmasters
Having got rid of the non horsepower making stuff from the list. It's only a 240-250whp fox at best and the rest of it is supports mods. If ran on regular street tires it's a mid to high 13 second car at 103-105mph.

THanks for that info! I didn't know what most of that stuff was. He said he was making close to 300whp. Guess he was wrong! lol

No, this was Franks Mustang. It was run into the ground anyway.

And THIS is what most people don't know!

Nice kill. People seem to think foxes are the baddest cars around or some reason. They can be cheaply made into monsters, but they need a lot of work to be "fast."

Can't wait to get mine...gonna have to wait till they come down in price though. We can't afford another car at 600/mo.
Intake, throttle body, long tube headers, x pipe, flowmaster 40 series, electric cutouts, tune. /game
settle in around 450rwhp then just focus on appearance. I'm thinkin a black/carbon theme

yea, it's a ford mustang.
I'm interested to see what these new 5.0's are going to do. Seems like ford sure did put a lot of overcomplicated electronics just to still not make as much power as a regular 'ole pushrod LS motor.

Yea, you know, that car that will win car of the year this year no question, will outperform the camaro in every trim level and cost less. That car.

It won't be. They just need to have SOMETHING to rag on them for and since power numbers are the only ammo, you'll be hearing it a lot. When they actually hit the street you won't be hearing as much **** talking for a few reasons and they are as follows: mid 13's in the v6 and mid 12's in the v8.
