K20's are good motors, but like with any N/a motor to get say a quick 30-50hp outta it you have to spend more than like 300 bux for a simple tune!!

I dont kno many rsx's running 10's and 11's without decent size turbos so whats your point?

Base balt to base rsx is my mistake, but the ratio from 2.4 to type S is similar enough.

really wish these were both manuals itd be fun race!

I bet it costs just as much or maybe a lil bit less to get a Type-S into 11s. Are there any Cobalts owned by real people in the 10s? So obviously the SS isn't better for modding.

the only fast one i've read was skunk2's all motor rsx that ran 9's with around 315whp. that's pretty impressive considering you don't read/hear about it often lol.

that's the only downside to the honder motors. the power. so they make up for it by having a lighter chassis. which sometimes doesn't help much lol

why are you so hung up on 10's and 11's, there ALOT of cars that cant do that, doesnt mean they arent good tuners.

U take a car and drop 2 -2.5 secs off 1/4 times for less than a grand and I would call that a good tuner, reglardes of 15 to 13's or 20's to 18's.

By your logic, if you cant get a car into the 10's or 11's dont get it?

Bah anyway i dont want to thread hijack and to be honest i dont care haha, let us know how the outcome goes.

well then I have hope because you also have less mods and with no offense meant the ones you have are less effective. So that gives me some hope.

It is a lot harder to go from 12s to 10s than it is from 15s to 13s. Your 'logic' is deeply flawed in what makes a good tuner. A lot of vehicles can drop over 2 seconds for free.

Greatest tuner ever .... http://www.darkmesa.com/motor-city/2...st-budget.html

yeah it should but hey if a 2.4 auto can stay near it thats pretty good and we dont need a 2.0SS to come to the rescue just an 08 2.4 5spd will do.

Scratch that..dibs on the LNF.
I wonder how much a swap like that would cost.
(LNF hatch) I saw a Civic that had an SRT-4 engine.

A SC would be a closer race for you than a TC. I don't know how much your car puts down but I know the K20 SI's pull ~180whp. Though the SC's are rated 205bhp there under rated and put down ~215 whp on average. It would be best to find a stock one because a SC with even the crappy GM stg 2 is as fast as a stock TC.

A stock SS/SC should pull out probably the same amount as you should pull on me allex.

Well we didnt get to do a dig and the header is off my car. So on stock exhaust with just the jet module and the injen short ram we raced.

40-95mph He got me by 2 cars. Not too bad. Will have to get the header back on and see if I can do better from a dig.
