g35 with intake gets spanked

ok so my buddy just picked up a new infinit g35 sport coupe with the rev up motor in it. car makes 300 stock and he put on a new intake so hes pushing like 310 around there. so we go and made some runs. all runs done in 2nd gear rolls. first time we sit dead even until top of 3rd gear where when he has to shift i start to get the edge and put 1n1/2 on him until we shut down. 2nd and 3rd runs were identical to that. last run we start in 2nd again through the top of 2nd i gain 1/2 a car and thru 3rd into 4th i was up about 2 car lengths. car was a very nice run i got to drive it and for a luxury/sport coupe the thing is mean. the intake really woke up that g35. so anyone running around knows that the infiniti would be a good run for our cars. he posts on the boards too his sn is termin8u.

yea, i raced a g35 4-door auto, completely stock, a couple months ago. Nothing special, but he talked alot of crap, and totally underestimated my cobalt, as well as cobalts in general. I ended up taking him by like 1.5-2 car lengths. I don't think he knew that it was supercharged.....

hahaha Yeah, funny story. Here in AZ every sat night at Pavalions (mall) there is a car show that goes on for the general public. TONS of car and people attend...in short, a lot of peole rip on us SS's and RL's. We even have people come up and ask..whats this big silver tube in the front here. It's funny to see how many people dont know **** about our cars or it capabilities. Another reason why i bought mine....i like proving others wrong.

yeah! just the other night here on the I-10 i raced a pre-2000 GT mustang and walked it from a 70 roll. He had simple bolt ons, intake exhaust, header, and triple guages on the a-pilar. Funny as hell to see the look on his face!!

they said (infiniti) that it wont be broken in until 4k. but we both agree that it shoudlnt get much faster.
on the other hand i also love spanking up on gts since i hang out with svtsnake.com a mustang club they always underestimate my 4 banger and look in amazement when they see me pull cars on them. but then my friend with the g35 also has a cobra with MUCHO work in it and walks me for about 3-6 cars lol. so its all fun.

I also ran one about a month ago from a dig. He had a smartass smirk on his face, also rolling his eyes. He thought he was going to do a 1500 RPM drop and walk away from me. To make the story short I shut down at 70 MPH and let him catch up after about a 2 and 1/2 car length loss he took. He was no longer smirking. He wouldn't even look at me when I was giving him the thumbs up! He looked like he was going to !

I raced a G35 coupe (6-sp) last week. The guy barely beat me, but at the next light he says: "goddamn that car is ******* fast! I didn't know they could move like that!"

It was old new to me though (wink)
