so i had a couple good races this weekend. the first one was a g8 gt that i think just had exhaust. we took off from a 70 roll. i tried to honk it off but the guy drivin was old so he went on the first honk. when i saw him go i went so he had about a car on me from the start. when i took off i started to pull and caught up with him, and when i got to about 100 i had half a car on him. I stayed half a car in the lead until we got to about 125 then we were dead even and stayed that way until we shut down at about 140.

yesterday i was coming back to college from my house and passed a scion on interstate. I didnt think anything of it until i saw the big intercool in my mirror. when there was a good opening in the road he started to catch up to me, and i slowed down to about 75. he got next to me and looked over and down shifted so i down shifted into 3rd and honked it off. i pulled a half a car from the start and kept it until i slowed down around 125 cuz there was a car up ahead. he rolled down his window and asked me if i was t/c or s/c and then gunned it and got off the next exit. i was suprised that it kept up with me that well, but when he went wot it sounded like he might have had aftermarket internals.

You were surprised a turbo'd Scion TC kept up with you? With a nice tune and a couple bolt ons to go with the turbo, depending on what turbo he has, those cars can get deep into the 13's, and from a roll would be even faster. And the G8 GT did about what it was supposed to, those are nice cars. Nice runs you had.

i guess i didnt know that scions took that well to boost lol

Oh trust me, not all of them do, and not all of them get tuned like they should after getting boosted. I just know that with a few bolt ons to accomodate the turbo and with a very nice tune, they can push almost 300whp.

i just meant that the sound of his car was alot meaner than any other boosted scion ive heard but just forget i said anything lol

G8 GT's are governed at 135mph.... Even the new SS\TC only tops 147mph with the small spoiler and the hi-rise wing is 141 mph, both SS models were drag limited in stock hp form.

G8 GT are governed at 140mph there is a video on youtube that even proves it. And apparently the G8 GT was all stock with exhaust. Cause with an intake and a tune the G8 GT will do mid 12s

i never said i knew what gear he was in, i said that he down shifted which is really easy to tell because u can hear a cars rpm shoot up when they're just cruising

but dont worry i believe u about hearing the aftermarket internals..... *******..... my buddy had a stock motor tc wit a gt30r on it and dyno'd 330fwhp(cpraider12 and 2fastss can vouch on that too) bc the motor couldnt take much more..... 330whp would own alot of balts..... so i doubt the tc u raced had a built motor.... prolly just a 16g bolt on turbo kit and a greddy emanage like everyone else

i never said anything about hearing a gears in the rear end either...btw i didnt mean for it to come out like that, i meant that by the way his scion sounded it had other work done to it than just the turbo kit....for example its easy to tell by the sound of a mustang if its stock or has heads, cams, etc.

intake and tune G8 Gt's will not due mid 12's more like low 13's at best but i think a few have hit high 12's.

there is a few guys on the g8 board with full exhaust(headers), tune, intake and some have stalls to get them in the mid 12's at about 108 to 109 mph

tune and intake will prob run low 13's to very high 12's in a g8

my 08 ss has hit 155mph and I have a high rise.....not 141, I even saw a video on streetfire here http://videos.streetfire.net/video/C...150_199679.htm NOT ME btw this guy has a high rise!

Yeah idk where he got that from. I'm pretty sure I read the LSJ limiter is 158 and the LNF Limiter is 155. The spoiler doesn't change your speed limiter lol.
