GMS1 vs Grand Cherokee SRT8

i pulled over to make a phone call on an access road. when i was getting back on the highway i saw a jeep grand cherokee SRT8 roughly '06 coming behind me. i got up to about 60mph and i was still in third gear doing about 3,500rpm when he got next to me. I imagine he heard my exhaust, looked out his window, saw my sedan and thought to himself... here's some young punk in a little 4 banger that's about to get smashed. he stepped on it about the same time i did and i heard it start to roar. i was already in my rev range so i was good to go and instantly starting making boost. i was suprised. from 60-110 i put a car length on it before i slowed down and then he slowed down. he pulled up next to me after we slowed and it was an older guy that looked like santa claus and a woman who looked to be in her late 30's. i gave them the thumbs up but the passenger gave me a look of total disguist. haha ah well. made my day!

They are beastly but hit an aerodynamic and weight wall pretty quick. Off the line they are totally fun as hell, though! I considered getting one before the 'balt, but I need commuter's gas mileage in-between my mexican races, ya know?

I had the same thought too but the gas mileage on those things makes no sense especially the newer ones ...almost single digits with a good thrashing lol

I raced one in town when I was GMS1 and had my Catless DP and a low tank of gas/no sub or spare.

And it got **** on, that was probably from a 10 roll though.

I found it to be as impressive as any AWD vehicle with a negative power to weight ratio :\

But damn that one second it grabs on you in the first 80ft really makes it pretty much a Bugatti veyron in comparison to the cobalt lol. NOT :P Oh wait, thats any AWD vehicle basically. WHO KNEW lol?

I don't really think that its a fair comparison, since it can also pretty well handle everything up to broken up double-track off-road as well. This is why its still on my short-list. Nothing like power like that and solid winter utility. I could only imagine the ***** this thing has with a small plow on it! Okay - maybe I'm not talking ricer right now.....

This. My buddy has one with just an intake and predator, and it's pretty sick. They are definitely nasty with a blower.

From a high roll they lose a lot of there capabilities being awd and so heavy but I've got a buddy with one with just x-pipe, intake and 150 shot running high 11's.
