I'll try to make this as painless a read as possible.

I was driving out of boredom last night just because. I know we've all been there.
Out of nowhere this jackass in a hatchback Civic SI comes flyin' by. I was like **** it, i'll catch him eventually. We both hit the next stop light and i just stayed beside him when it went green. I could hear his fart can exhaust and knew he was a joke. I could hear him revin' it and **** like he wanted to race. Long story short, we both slowed to forty and i downshifted into 3rd so he knew i was down. He then took off while i didn't do **** but go to 45 (which was the speed limit) and he probably hit 80-85. Then out of nowhere behind me i see lights. WHOOP WHOOP. The cop goes ******* mach 1 to catch this guy. About a quarter mile up the road the civic's on the side of the street with the cop at his window.

******* ricers.
If you want to race, take it to a track, not on a busy public road.

I love when people do this lol. Half the time I'm not even paying attention and they come up next to me and take off

 

 

The one thing i don't like about this area is that it is very boring car-wise so most people just speed around here and try to race everyone. The nearest drag strip doesn't do much "race day" kinda **** where we can just show up and go. Everything they offer is like "OMGCUSTOMCARSGOVROOM" kinda crap. Then to top it off, the nearest circuit is like 2 hours away and they are stupid expensive on track days.

 

Track days are crazy expensive for circuits. The one closest to me is like $140 for one day or something.

Ricers always want to race everything. Doesn't matter where you live.

 

$140 is cheap? Yeah. I'd rather buy a season pass to kings dominion for $100 and have fun all year round... $140 to drive in circles is ******* stupid.

 

Not worth it to me. Rather spend $40 in gas and go hit some back road twisties lol

Lol I had something similar happen last night. I had just put the summer tires back on yesterday and was bored so I decided to go up to hwy(local cruising spot). It was a nice day so I figured there would be cars out. Well I was right and there were cars everywhere. I decided to just take one lap and cruise to see what was all out. Then a yellow cobalt SS/TC and a focus st pull out right next to me. Now I don't really race on hwy for fear of cops(I already have got a racing ticket in the past). But then all three of us get stopped by a light. I was in an ok spot for a 1st to 2nd run from a dig real quick lol. Both were younger kids and probably didn't know how to launch their cars because I destroyed them both like a few cars and I just went into second lol. So then the cobalt SS/TC would not leave me alone. The focus st was his buddy and he said "my buddy has been dying to race you!" So I said "well I really don't like to race on why I got a racing ticket once". So then I rolled down the window to talk to the cobalt guy about what he had done. He said stock but I actually know the car and know it at least has a trifecta tune on it(I know the guy who owned it before). Well he was next to me for quite awhile as we just cruised. He kept trying to egg me on so sfter a light we were going about 35 and I dropped it to second. I have a Borla catback and a ZZP downpipe so he heard the exhaust and just points forward lol. I had just beaten him didn't know why he was so cocky. Well I just went and banged through 2nd and then into 3rd as I stopped because I was about a car or two ahead. Well I look in the rear view mirror and what so I see? Cherries and berries way back though. So I just states to pull over and so did the other cobalt behind me. Well IDK of the kid was trying to run or what hit he just turned off and the cop went after him I just went up aways and turned onto the freeway and back home I went. Very close call

heres the thing. the road i was on is like the main road of our entire city. 3 lanes at 45mph....yeah...how about "not in my lifetime". these damn cops out here are quick to catch a dude. if i want to go fast, i try to go backroads 1 lane kinda roads. i love driving curves. I spent 9 years in japan and love me some curves brah.

That makes sense. Ya that would not be smart. Iv in the past done some races on a Main Street. Had some close calls. Not in town anymore. Only place i usually speed in any way is on a highway close to my place, not much cars there. Cops once in a while but u can see far so it's easy to avoid em

 

I wish we had a track here. Closest one is 2 1/2 hours away. They were gonna make one in the city but a water park was more important I guess stupid jerks. I think they want racers out there, makes em money

 

Did this to some douche in a monte a year ago. Pulled up next to me and was staring me down revving. I decided to downshift. he gave it 3 honks and I only hit the gas long enough for him to think I was racing, probably got up to 40 from 35. He flew away doing about 70 and a cop on the other side did a uturn and pulled him over
