Grudge matches for the summer?

Well I haven't really had a spectacular kill list with my car so far, as I've only had it for just shy of a year and half of that time snow has been on the ground.

Civic SiR, G37S sedan, new BMW 528i, etc. Nothing out of the ordinary that most of you probably run into from time to time.

BUT... we all have our grudge matches to settle, right? Mine stem from friends of mine, neighbours, that kinda crap, and it's all in good fun. Have a few fun races set up for this year, and am hoping to get them out of the way before anymore mods proceed.

2009 Camaro RS.. yeah it's only the V6 but those cars are no slouches. Unfortunately the driver mod will not be showing up on his end, but he's a long standing family friend and a good neighbour so I'm sure we'll have a blast doing it. I modify his car for him, so this is kind of like advertising for my side jobs.

2005 BMW M3... car is stock, but the guy can drive it. I'm not really worried about losing this race honestly, but it will be fun nontheless because he's convinced a Cobalt could not possibly beat an M3. Also a great guy, should be fun.

2008 Civic SiR... which I am supercharging. This is the race I'm most looking forward to. A best friend of mine, and one the tuning is out of the way, we're going to give it a go. Jackson Racing kit is what he's chosen I believe, and we will be doing a tune for 8psi. I'm not completely convinced I'm going to win this race, lol... but we'll have to see.

Any grudge matches you guys have lined up you'd like to share?

Ya know, I only ever raced one, and it was in my NSRT-4. Stage 2 pcm and intake... that was it. At 160 I had him by a car.. but I had to play catch up to get there. I have no idea if the guy was any good of a driver, as I'm unaware what they run stock, and have never since raced one.

I like your list more than mine!

The 335 or 135 will run even with a mustang 5.0 stock for stock on a 1/4 i think. We get them in the trap speed... but a tuned 135 or 335 with an intake and exhaust can get like 400hp so its a beastly car when done up right.

I have 3 guys at work I want to run... a 6.0 gto, a M6 2003 C5 vette, and a guy who talks **** all the time in a supercharged Mustang 4.6L. The first two, I know that I will take them. I'm fairly confident I will hold the mustang close or maybe get like a nose on it... And one more maybe but we shall see cus my friend that owns a ferrari 430 is lame and doesn't like to drive it. The ferrari will smoke me but I just want to see by how much... That F1 gearbox thing they got is badass

I'm trying to set up runs with a fully "built" 5.0 fox body forged bottom end, heads, cam, intake and exhaust, claims it's a mid to low 12 e/t. I have a hard time believing it is making more than 325whp:

I would believe him... A build fox body is very very light and a 5.0 of that era is very very easy to modify. I would tread with caution. That could be a beastly little devil.

He said the cam is not aggressive at all, and it's a rather basic build. Who knows only one way to find out though.

if he has any suspension work and a set of dr's or slick ,and if its a notchback . he would go well in the 12 's with 325 whp . i know of a guy with a notch and 268 whp went 12.68 on slicks .from a roll you will rape him though . They 60 foot real well

my pump gas 10.5:1 fully forged 349 (bored/stroked 302) with a set of mild full street legal afr 185cc heads, mild tf stage 2 cam, full accesories (including A/C and air pump), 30lb injectors, and tf intake put down 410whp through a clunky e40d auto trans (heavy duty ford trucks trans). Granted I have a few more cubes in my engine, but don't let a "mild" fully built 302 fool you.... the aod, aode, 4r70w autos and any manual tranny will have an easier time putting more power to the wheels than the e40d btw.. just sayin..

my 92 makes 310whp and 299wtq through an aod. My best time ha s been an 11.8 at 115.9 n/a while being setup for nitrous. Im sure it would go 11.6s with more gear and converter.
