GT 01+ vs. SS/TC
GT 01+ vs. SS/TC
So I was coming home this morning in mexico and rolled up to this older man in a 01+ mustang GT. Not an 05+. So we were at a light and it changed with open highway ahead. So I take off at a quicker pace to get his attention. I hear him gun it when he is at my back fender so i gun it. I shifted early into second at about 5000rpm's and started to pull ahead. Bad Shift into 3rd I dont know what i did but i got it in and pulled to 100mph. Saw in him in my back rear view mirror probably about 2-3 cars back even with my shitty shifting. We slowed down to the speed limit and he gave a wave so I waved back and we went on our ways. Seemed like a real nice guy. I know everyone has heard these but i wanted to share mine. Im stock but I dont Know if he was stock because I could hear his tires breaking lose for a split second while he was shifting.
Cliff Notes:
Stock ss/tc vs. Maybe modded 01+ mustang GT
ss/tc by 2-3 cars with about a half a car head start

The body style you're talking about was from 99-04, and those year GT's arent fast at all, unless you do major work to them. I actually had an 01 GT, but traded it for my 08 SS/TC. Nice kill!!
Ya I think it might of been my bad shifting or if he was a little bit modded. I dont know i might of beat him by more but i couldn't really tell because I was focusing on driving.
It really just depends. There have been so many SS/TC's to run low 14's stock, which is about what the 99-04 GT's ran stock. But there have also been a few SS/TC's to run 13.5-13.7 stock, but I'd say the average is high 13.
