So your car may feel faster than a showroom fresh GTO but most likely it's just that the GTO needs some miles on it.

Well, the one I raced and beat had miles on it, and still lost. I hate to be a ricer about my times(I wish the track was open to prove it), but very few stock GTO's trap 110-111. I know alot about the GTO's, and the LSX motor in general, and am aware of the fact that it gets faster after break in. My car is far from stock, so it's an apples to oranges comparison, but a STOCK GTO is no match for my car, and I'd be happy to race one (again) and prove it. BTW, my mods are located in my "garage" picture to the left for your viewing pleasure.

I know your car isn't stock bad06ss but a well driven 05-06 GTO can easily trap 110-111mph. My Camaro SS's trapped around 109-110mph and my GTO is faster than they were.

My best trap was 13.732 @ 100mph with a 6,500 DA. I'm sure at sea level i would be getting 12's and close to 110.

Last year my buddy had me drive his 2005 Impluse Blue M6 GTO a few times since he could only muster high 13's.

His only mod was a Drop-In K&N filter.

I was able to run two 13.3's and one 13.01 all were around 109-110mph. It was also around 85 degrees out side.

They are definitely wonderful beasts. I also love the crowd of owners that goes along with them. A very tight knit community on that forum as is this one.

Best run bone stock on street tires was a 13.1 @ 106. One of our friends just ran a 12.9 in his automatic.

I think you missed a "1" there man. My wifes 99 T/A ran 13.92-13.98 all night at the track and trapped 99-100 every time. 13.3 is a lot of time off for no gain in trap. It is your car, but it just doesn't seem right to me.

Well then maybe you should submit those times to this list:http://www.ls2gto.com/forums/showthread.php?t=106613

Because NOBODY in the stock LS2 class has gone over 109mph according to that list, and that's the top 18 times. And if I remember correctly, the top guy on that list ran that in NEGATIVE DA weather. Cobalt443's time is the common time ran for a stock LS2 GTO.

Agreed, I call BS...... I have an 06, M6, GTO with the following -----> Headers, Offroad Mids, SLP LM1 Catback, LPE Intake, and a Dyno Tune.. My best to date is a
12.85 @ 109 with no skid plate, no fual tank brace, no spare, and no hitch receiver on stock 18's....

This is at Pittsburgh Raceway which is know to be a fast track. On a cool night too.

The best time I could muster up with my stock '05 6 spd was mid 13's at 106 myself. I left the line at idle, and let the clutch out and hit it

Low 13's @~106ish is still very impressive and respectable, especially for a stock car! But they don't run 110-111mph consistantly (stock) like what was being stated earlier. I wish I could own a GTO, unfortunately, I couldn't swing the payments/insurance/gas costs with a family to support. My Cobalt SS/SC is cheaper all the way around.

Sorry guys the MPH I listed was wrong I was looking at my Camaro SS slips before I posted and thats the MPH I was running. In his car I was at 107mph and 109mph twice.

And no 350Z is going to touch a 05-06 GTO

Nice. You should still submit that to the link I posted, it qualifies to be in the top 18 times.

I see Judges all the time on ebay. You just have to have the cash to float their prices now. 350zs huh? Must be some sucky ass GTO driver. I've beat a few 350z's in the slowbalt' with my current setup....

Actually chevypowered you should ditch your LPE CAI and go back to the stock box. A stock 05-06 GTO with a CAI will actually see about a 20HP loss without good tune to bring the MAF readings back to earth. Given you hve the Diablosport tune I doubt even that can change enough to see full gain from a CAI.

I am sure you are on the GTO forums aren't you, if so just search for this issue. Some people have seen a loss of 20-25whp when adding a CAI no matter who makes it. The results get even worse when people remove the screen.

F**k that. I'd rather have a GTO with a Whipple Twin Screw S/C on it any day. F**k supporting any other market than the american market....
All the way. Support American.
