Just wanted to know how they stood up. My dream car is a John Cooper Works S, but that will be awhile for that. Thanks.

against a 2.2 it'll rape you, a 2.4 it will beat you, a 2.0 would beat it... but not by much.

My dad has a Cooper S and it feels faster than my 2.0 S/C.

Every day I still think about getting a Mini. They really handle like nothing you've ever tasted!

It would be interesting to see them go side by side. The John cooper s(stripped down one with rally stripes) against a SS SC. I still want a cooper myself.

(I have no idea why I was thinking awd)

unless you like the styling of the mini (i personally can't stand it) why not get a used evo or sti, or even a wrx and throw some mods on it. an evo can handle amazingly also, and will outgun any stock mini straight line easily. plus it is just plain sexy. but hey, if you like the mini go for it, it is definately not short of being a sweet ride.

My Brother had one of these with several mods to it including a smaller pulley and some tuning. It was a lot of fun to drive.

Honestly a Cobalt SS isint that fast in the big picture of things......

I was asking how it held up to an ss not all of your opinion on the car. I like the feel of being in a little car that handles great, it might not be the fastest car but its a good all arround package that most hondas couldnt touch. My uncle has a full race mazda miata and evean tho its a cheap car, on track days no porshe can touch him in the corners and when his turbo charged engine is done being built it will haul ass. My point is its not all about "fast".

I have a 2.4 and I've beaten the Cooper S before. Not sure the year and it wasn't just a 1/4 mile sprint but in the end I killed him.

Don't get me wrong I have nothing agaisnt them I like em! Little to pricy for me tho. Oh and they handle like a go-kart!

Personally, I LOVE the mini.....they are extremely fun to drive. However I raced a cooper S when I was stock and pulled it very good on the highway. But I love those cars anyways

That would be bad ass but it is too much $$ for that, at that point STI/EVO comes to mind that would kill a Mini. Plus it will loose some of its light as hell factor with AWD.

One was trying to mess with me on the highway when i wasnt giving him my attention. he would drop back behind me and gain speed and try and fly past me. All i had to do was drop it into 4th and i caught him easily enough when i was still stock. They are quick though but i still dont want one when i got my SC.
