is this for real. the Neons stock? not and srt4 or anything right? wells its a 98 so it wouldn't be. umm he'll be so far back he wont even taste your dust.

 

wouldn't stop him from putting in an SRT-4 engine into a 1st gen neon. However, it sounds like he is a moron and that it probably is a stock engine. There shouldn't be anything to worry about. Stock those things were slow as *****.

 

There not that slow. I was able to run consistent 15.4s with my old R/T with a CAI, catback exhaust and tune.

SS4ME yea i would say a r/t would be, but sadly this isnt even an r/t... he just thinks his car is the ****, but he will come to find who the real king is, lol!

 

If he owns a highline or an ACR, I'm pretty sure they come with the same 2.0 DOHC engine. What matters is if he has an auto or a 5 speed transmission. I'm pretty sure that all Neons with DOHC engines had the same engine which was rated at 150hp/130tq. If I remember correctly that is. It'll be a slaughter if he didn't drop an SRT-4 engine in it. I saw some d-bag with a 1st gen. neon blasting 13.6s and when I approached he claimed he was stock with a big old grin on his face. I got him to pop his hood and it looked like a stock SRT-4 engine. Dork.
