hhhh i lost to a tc....." sad trumbone"

so the other night i was talking **** to my buddy who has a scion tc about how i beat him and that his car is wimpy and he told me that he now has an exaust and a full cold air intake and that he would walk all over me... so in response i said " ok bitch lets take it to the street.." in a joking manner so we go out to the local street racing road

first race we went from a dead stop i had him off the line but when i hit 3rd he was about half a car length away and slowly " slowly pulling away"

2nd race we went from a 35 mph launch" perfect sec gear 4 grand launch" i had a car on him up untill 45-55 ish and he gaind and pulled off on me...

3rd race... we went from a 15 role and he pulled 2-3 cars on me and thats the way it stayed...

moral of the storie im going to order a header back exaust set up with a full cold air intake.....

i have to beat him.... ive even though about a No2 set up......

its unacceptable to lose to afriend! me and my buddy in his rsx type s, were always doing that. However when he got his turbo tuned at 10psi. He was out of my league.

Go pour two cans of SeaFoam into his gas tank. That'll slow him down, and he'll fog up the whole neighborhood.

SEAFOAM FTW!!!!!!!!

We did that on the polish parade last year

As for 2.2 vs tC.. not going to fly, unless he is an auto.

Only SS's can beat tC, out of my experience.. and when they do, they just go WOOOOOSH... and you can see tail lights.. couple of miles away.

Nope, tCs don't have procharger kits. It's only TRD right now. The stock S/C kit blows and is a waste of money compared to the SS S/C you all have.

I'm all N/A and was thinking of the S/C when I bought my tC but it's crap. Turbo is the only way to go with the tCs for power.

SS (non S/C) Cobalt isn't that much of a battle with my setup. I'm a length in front and holding. My buddy's S/C Cobalt is about 1.5 in front and slowly pulling at the 1/4 mark.

Yup, I don't care how it looks as long as it runs good. More fun that way.

Here's my engine:

Plus: Tanabe NF210 springs coming this week...and TRD rear Sway bar

More plans for internal swap to 11.1 compression pistons and forged rods and Stage 1 polished/ported head. With Emange, should bring me up to 210 whp all motor. Not bad from 139 whp stock I would say.

Yeah, it's nothing great.....lots of problems

Main oil seal for the S/C is right over the header (heat damage) and the S/C mount breaks off the trany.

Thanks

No, turbo is the only way to run a tC if you really want a good power increase though. Too much money. It's 5K+ for the turbo Stage 1 kit plus, if you really want to do it right, you get 8.1 compression pistons and forged rods for another 2K and then install it all ......about 8300$.....250+whp so not too shabby but still a lot.

Yeah, like I said.............it's nothing special. Very poor design.
