I got your PM and responded....I didn't mean anything negative by what I said about giving it your all, I am just simply surprised that I even hung with you considering the mods. And not to try and argue, but I pulled ahead and held you off three times out of those races. 30mph is pretty much a dead spot for me, that’s why I went down to 20mph, to try and make it a little more even.

I was kinda thinking that, there is a 04 gto with intake, header back, dyno tune drag radials, weight reduction, and a 3600 stall that runs consistant 12.9's at 105-6 every pass. And it is tracked every week, and won second in the points.

 

That Cobalt doesn't trap anywhere near 115 Mr GTO guy. I'm guessing 105-108 maybe. Why do you want a rematch?

 

I can believe the part about 12.4, but at 115, in an auto ls1? Nahhhh. Especially not with that 60'. To run 12.4 @ 115 he'd have to have more like a 2.1 60'.

And definately not in a stalled auto.

 

Yea I was talking more the whole run. But I guess it is cammed over the one I see at the track, and that makes a big difference. My 12.2 was with a 1.9 60 foot and only trap 111-112 on the slicks. Now I have run 12.5 at 115 with a 2.2 60 before.

 

Exactly, GTO's are pretty consistant when you add the 60ft plus the trap. A 115 trap speed with a 60' of 1.8 is an 11 second GTO.

The same can be said when you add the ET with the 60', a 1.8 60' with a 12.4 pass is more of a 110-111 trap.

12.4 @ 115 with a 1.8' 60' doesnt't add up, at all.

I agree with Blazin. Stop your damn number crunching and get your ass on the road. If he says he ran a 12.4 with a 1.8 60' then that's what he did.

 

Okay, I have an innocent question. How often do people really lie on here about times, etc? I mean, maybe I'm naive, but I tend to take people on their word, so I trust that he ran a 12.4. And I'm jealous of his 1.8 60' time. I mean, do people really lie all the time such that every time somebody posts anything they should never be believed? Why would people do this? I just don't get it. There are some people on here that I blatantly don't trust because they post truly ridic things, but other than that I don't see why you wouldn't take this guy on his word, then try to be helpful and suggest a couple more mods that he could do to make his car a legit 11s car.

You're not getting it. If he said 12.4 @ 115 with a 2.2 or 2.3 60' I MIGHT believe him. He said he trapped 115 with a 1.8 60'. In the GTO world thats an 11 second car, not a 12.4 second car. His time reeks of BS, someone who never went to the strip, or ran a slower time and can't admit it made that number up.

Not to mention he's in a stalled auto! The guys running his setup and near 1.8 60's are doing 12.2-12.5's with traps of 109-111. He liiessss

Saying 12.4 @ 115 with a 1.8 60' is the equivilant of a stock SS/TC doing 14.0 @ 104 with a 1.8 60'. It just makes zero sense.
