When i used my 66' stang as a DD it was the oposite every one in the world no matter what the drove wanted to race me. I dont know if it was because my car was always clean or sounded nice or what but thats my 2 cents... Im sry he didnt rep the mustang owners very well. Kill him next time!!

So you’re saying a car has to have 500hp to beat your car up top? I hope not because I’m not making anywhere close to 500hp and Id embarrass you from a roll very badly. Also unless the Corvette and GTO that pulled you were heavily modded or the Corvette was a C6 Z06 they didn’t have 500hp either. I don’t think you understand how much 500hp is in a 3400-3800lb car. That would get my car (3440lbs w/ me) into the mid to low 11s. Now last time I checked there weren’t that many, if any Cobalts in that territory yet. I have seen/ heard of a few in the mid-high 12s but that isn’t even that often. Now I’m not trying to be a dick here but why don’t you go race an SS Camaro or Tans Am and post the outcome, hell even race a bolt-on GT and any of those cars will pull you.

It has nothing about the mustang being "superior". It has to do with the fact that some many people talk trash about them but then brag how they can beat them and they are easy kills. Well if the Mustang isnt that hard to beat and everyone can beat them how come they are what 99.9% of the kills are on this forum also I never hear about anyone beating a modified one, except maybe exhaut and intake. Why is that? And when some one on here says that Mustangs only take the easy kills is a joke when I never hear any other fast car being beat on this forum. Well I have list a mile long of Mustangs that have beat anything from Vipers to Lamborghinis and even sport bikes. Saying we take easy kills is any thing further from the truth.

I will admit the 05+ Mustangs are driven by people that wanted to hop on the band wagon and drive the next hot car. Thats why you see so many older guys driving them or people who dont want/know how to race them.

, i think ive seen one 05 mustang driver be a tool but 99-04 holy **** dont get me started

Are you being serious?

First of all, weight has a smaller and smaller effect as speed increases. At lower speeds, weight is very important, but it becomes less important as speeds increase and aerodynamics becomes very important.

Second, I hope you have a LOT of mods because otherwise, you're gonna lose a lot of money. 04YellowGT, please set this up. Indiana isn't that far from PA, and you'll certainly pay your gas bill with $500. Man, I wish I was near you (and I was willing to street race to 150, which I'm not) so I could make an easy $500, too... and my GT is significantly slower.

First you’re the one talking **** here, saying Mustangs pick on easy kills; second I’m still saying who gives a **** who can win up to 150mph. You go to any person who races on the 1/4 mile or on the street and say well I can beat you past 150mph and they would laugh at you, just like I am. Unless you’re trapping 150+mph in the 1/4 mile then you don’t need to go that fast. You know what to, you would beat me from 0-150 just for the fact that I won’t go that fast on the street. Seriously though, don’t talk **** to a car that is faster than you and you know it. Even if your car did pull harder past 100mph the amount of cars Id put on you from 0-100 you wouldn’t be able to make up from 100-150.

I’ve got to ask how old you are because you sound like some 16yo that got a pretty fast car and thinks he is invincible now.

You’re trying to sound like a bad ass and the king of racing when I’ve been into this **** before I could even drive. Talking about weight is the biggest load of **** and I hear it all the time. Now if your talking 1,000lbs yea weight will play a role but when its 200-300lbs, no it’s not that big of a deal. I checked and a Cobalt weighs in at 2,925lbs w/o driver, so say your 180lbs that puts your car at 3105lbs. My car weighs 3440 with me in it, I’ve weighed it twice know. That is 335lb difference, which is about 30rwhp/fwhp, hell make 40hp advantage to you. Then you have to take into consideration I have around 100+rwhp and 100+ft/tq more than you, so you know what I’m going to have to say Id pull your ass all the way up to the redline of my car. Why don’t you use the excuse that you car is more aerodynamic and that will help you pull on me.

For all the other Cobalt owner, don’t get me wrong the SS/SC are a very quick car and CAN take out about 90% of the cars on the street today. I’ve gone for a ride in a few of them and I was very impressed how fast they were. I do like the new Cobalts and think they have the potential to be the next SRT4, along the lines of you never know what they’re packing under the hood and I think as the aftermarket companies pick up on this car you will see MUCH faster ones. I also think/hope most of you would agree with me on the points I made about this argument.

Trust me Id love to make an easy $500, especialy since I need an 8 Rib kit so I can put a 2.8 pulley on, can you say 20psi. This kid is over his head in a million ways and if he was closer and I could run him on an airport runway I would be there tomorrow, no joke. Like I said Im thinking he is 16 y/o and has been talking to many ricers.

You mustang trolls used to be so much more civil about this whole thing.
Now you're just getting nasty.
SO WHAT if a heavily modded Cobalt SS/SC beats a lightly modded or stock Mustang GT?
As long as you handle yours, who cares?

Assuming you're talking to me, I'd say I'm being pretty civil.

Also, I don't car if a SS/SC beats a Mustang. Doesn't bother me at all.

I was merely commenting on the people acting like Mustang guys have a monopoly on making excuses when they lose and the guy who thinks his Cobalt can take a low-12 second car to 150mph from a dig.

Both of those topics are worth commenting on, and I don't think I was nasty about it. If I was, it wasn't my intention.

04YellowGT I raced a supercharged SS Camaro on I-5 after I had the Stage 1 kit installed in my car... It wasn't even CLOSE. His car was so ******* fast I was at 115 and he let me up in front of him for like 5 seconds and then passed me like I was standing still. It made me sick to my stomach haha. Sexy ass car though. Mustang Gt's are all right.. Everybody and their mother owns a damn mustang though.. the v-6's suck ass though. And is this kid serious? Don't the Gt's run 13's STOCK? and if yours is modded then sorry guys but the stock or SLIGHTLY modded cobalt won't hang. And I'm tired of these damn fake ass stories about stock SS cobalts beating Srt-4s in drag races.

I consider anybody that is on a forum and drives another vehicle entirely as a troll.
Regardless of how polite they are, they're there to defend THIER car by downplaying yours.
Blaine is kinda weird in that he owns both
So I guess that makes him a ...half-troll....with a charisma of 15 and 2d6 to all saving rolls,.....but there are others

I thought it was a bigger weight different my mistake. That is normal for me on the highway it is why I got the car. Don't care if it bothers people. It is a street car and I have fun with it there. I have never seen the fast and furious movie. I'm 26 if you looked up any other thread. I clearly said it wasn't about sounding cool. I said enough of the talking. My original comment was some guy took off on me when I wasn't even trying to race him. It wasn't about whine I got beat racing.

If you still want to talk about it like I said put up some money or shut up. It isn't purely 0-150, but a straight away of like 2 miles. All I'm saying is I have confidence not many cars will beat me on a longer run. The cobalt performs very well on longer drives and open roads. You want a roll because that again gives you the short track to work with. If you want to keep talking like a kid yourself go ahead. I'm done with this thread.

Trolling is about taking the thread from the original point, which it is well away from and causing trouble. I think that is clear. The only reason this other point got brought up was the comment that surely I was way behind. No **** because I never hit the gas until he was up there because I wasn't racing. Stop making excuses if you want to talk **** come out and you will have a nice story. There are no police and no traffic on the straight at night. You have no excuse.

Either way, I wouldn't be saying this if you didn't go off topic and offend me with your I'll beat you easy ****. Please come prove it if you want to say that. I admit openly that you likely have the quarter mile so I named my perfered race.
