i think ill give racing on street a rest for awhile.

well it happened last night. i was driving on the main road and i pull up to a stop light and a red nissan sentra typr-r nismo pulls up next to me. i knew i would beat him but i asked if he wanted to race anyways just because i cant pass up a freakin race. well green light and pull out and give him a second or two and im reelin him in in 2nd gear and pass him before 3rd. at this point im 4+ cars ahead and going about 95+ before i let off still in 3rd gear when and car hauls ass up behind me and i could tell of the shape that i had just been got by the cops. he turned his lights on and made me pull into a local parking lot with the nissan. i thought for sure i was goin lose my license and my car and get a **** load of fines. luckily the guy was really nice and gave me a warning. he told me he raced street bikes so he understood when i told him that i just wanted to see what my car can do. another cop was askin how fast my car was bc he had never seen one before. the cop said he had to go 100+ to catch up to me by the time i slowed down. he told me that he would be looking out for my car now on the streets. then the cops left and me and the nissan guy realized how lucky we were. he was cool about it and said "nice car" and i did the same and then we were on our way. well that was about the scariest thing that has ever happened to me. sorry for the long story.

Take that warning, and frame it!

I had a buddy of mine who was racing and got a WARNING for doing 120 in a 40 because he pulled over and the other guy didnt.

He has that proudly in a frame hanging on his wall.

haha I have a funny one....maybe i'm even luckier. i had a gto on my left (my fiance) and a grand national on my right, we all floor it at green and up comes and undercover cop...it must have looked like i was standing still next to the gto and grand national that he just went after them as i pulled into Mickey D's....the fiance kind of got lucky too, all he got was a speeding ticket for 10mph over instead of street racing

I lucked out a while back. Someone called my plates in for racing when the police showed up at my house I told him I knew what he was there for. He was very nice and just asked me not to do it on the streets. He also said that since he didn't witness anything he couldn't do anything.

you shouldn't have slowed down. If you race just keep hauling ass out of the area or just keep it on the track. The best thing to do would be to have a way to dump oil out from under your car onto the street to make the cop spin out and crash or make the guy you're racing spin out and crash to cause a diversion. Another thin that works is a smoke screen and it's easy to do. Just get a fire extiguisher(the bigger the better) and spray the sucker out of your sunroof trust me, it will work.

Ouch! That's why I don't street race.

You are definitely lucky for even getting off, let alone having the cop check out your ride! Good kill.

It was a Nissan SE-R I am willing to bet. Those are a dime a dozen. Can't miss it, Big red "R" badge below the SE

They look like this

Horsepower : 165 hp @ 6000 rpm
Torque : 175 lb-ft @ 4000 rpm
Redline : 6200 rpm

Top speed : 130 mph(manual), 125 mph(auto)
0-60 mph : 7.6 sec.(manual), 8.3 sec.(auto)
0-¼ mile : 16.0 sec @ 88.0 mph(manual)
60-0 braking distance : 121 ft
200 ft skidpad : 0.80 g

Good race for an N/A SS perhaps

So me and 4 other cars come over a hill and he jumps out in front of us like some kind of super cop. We all slam on our brakes and stop probably 10 feet short of him. I am 2 cars back. He points at me and singles me out to pull to the side. I explained to him that I had never had a traffic violation and I would greatly appreciate it if he could let me off with a warning and he stated that " I do not jump out in front of traffic to give warnings!"

So I go to court to try to get the $210 fine reduced. The thug in front of me had 3 moving violations and the judge knocked his fines in half. The person before that was a middle aged woman in on her 2nd DUI in 2 years and he lets her off with community service and a $1000 fine. So I figured that I had a shot. I explain to the judge that this is a first offense and asked for lieniency. He looked at me and said " This is what fines are for" and asked if I had the money to pay that day. I told him that I could pay the next day and he put me on probation. So I went on probation for about 18 hours and ended up having to pay $260 total along with 5 hours taken off of work.

That is my wonderful experience with the law.
