Ok so let me prefece this by saying you all know how I feel about street racing but this technicly wasn't one, we didn't line up, no horns were blown, no one waived a bra

Anyway heres what happened.......I was on the way to the dealership on I-295 traveling south in the left lane at about 70 and I notice in my rear view mirror something diving from lane to lane and coming up fast behind me, well I know it wasn't a cop cause cops aren't gonna drive like that. So I keep an eye on it and it comes up behind me FLYING! I look it over and my first thought was a new Lancer, but then I noticed the front tag on the passenger side under the headlight and the intercooler in the front bumper, its a new EVO. So I figure I'll get over the next break in traffic in the right lane and let him go by but then he starts to flash his headlights at me cause I guess my now 80 in the 55 just wasn't good enough. So I let off the gas and drift back down to 70 and take it out of 6th and stick it back down in 3rd and punched it. Well when I did I guess he wasn't ready for it cause I jumped him by about 3 cars right off, as I wound 3rd out to its redline of 8300 rpm and 105mph I had him by about 6 cars. Grabed 4th and watched as I kept pulling on him up to 120 when I felt that was WAY fast enough and at about 10 cars my point was made it was time to let him go so I let off and put on my right blinker and got over. Enter the ricer fly by! It was a pretty car but not as fast as I thought they'd be, especialy on a roll race. Hell you staged guys should give it a shot next.

I figured you'd post. Thanks man. Just remember my car was built for the Autobahn and speeds you'd find there, the Cobalt saddly is not.

Like I said in your thread I wasn't hating I'm just worried is all. And what are your tires rated for? Mine are good to 175+. Just be careful Hack thats all I'm saying.

12.8 at 111mph in a 1/4 mile after its flash and top speed I've had it to so far was 175.

let me guess..u were doin 120mph in ur m3 and it seemed like u were goin 60mph...gotta love bmw's on highways...super stable

 

YUP! That thing is like its glued to the road! Hell 150 felt like 90 or so. But 175 is down right spooky no matter how well it handles thats why I've only been up there once since I've owned it.

 

BTW terry, this was me again! I came to get revenge for you killing my fast and furious M5. So I stole the new evo to race you...i'll get you some day!
