so after taking the header off i went out for a run with an srt-4 to see if the header really does make a difference.
the results WITH the header:
40 mph - 100 mph: dead even.
40 - 120 srt-4 by 1-2 cars
the results WITHOUT the header:
40 - 100 mph: cobalt by 1/2 car
40- 120 mph: srt-4 by 1/2 - 1 car
srt-4 mods: stage 1 and intake
cobalt ss/sc remaining mods : high flow cat, smaller resonator, injen intake, baffled fart can.

header won't make a difference alone. your exhaust mods seem iffy. try with no baffle. try getting hp tuned (no trifuckdya) and you will gain some real power. you'll probly make around 250.

I vote, get a whole new exhaust. No doubt that header is a steaming pile of canadian crap, as with everything else JBP designed.
I'm thinking, since you have kind of butchered up your whole exhaust, even the shitty header doesn't make one bit of difference. Get a real downpipe, and a real cat-back. See what happens with just that on a stock manifold, or a ported stock one if you really want the best "basic" exhaust setup.

did you retune for the new header?
or throw it on and expect mystical gains?
cause that header is so crazy and the flow is so crazy, I'd imagine you need to tune to get anything from it.
